I chose this B and B because of the location right on the beach and the views from some of the rooms, we where in room 2 on the back of the B and B with a massive balcony. On arrival the feel of the place is super friendly and has a bit of a NZ feel to it being relaxed about things, felt safe while there re COVID-19. We ate there one night staff knowledgeable about dietary needs, food was delicious. Breakfast was also well organised with great local food suppliers used, again the staff who served us were friendly and helpful. Tea/coffee/fruit juice/yogurt/toast then a menu to choose from the full Cornish Breakfast was great every morning. The bar and restaurant was closed for 2 of the nights we were there which was a real shame as would have liked a drink etc, but understand the difficulty of operating during these Covid times. Now to the room I’ve mentioned the great view, but the room was presented as mixed shabby chic theme, some parts being very dated such as the shower/sink area the water pressure was awful. But I must say that the room was clean, bedding clean and fresh as were the towels. Not much hanging space for clothes only a coat stand, but I always take extra hangers so was okay for a short stay. Overall a good stay, the staff super helpful. The place just needs a general tidy up outside but then I’m one of those people who, likes every thing just right. Photo of view from our room.

Stayed here for 2 nights at the end of Sept 2020 with my husband. The location cannot be faulted, it's perfect, right on the most beautiful beach. Parking is easy and plentiful. COVID measures excellent. Breakfast is delicious, plenty of choice, locally sourced and well cooked. We ate in the restaurant on both evenings too and the food was excellent with the monkfish Sri Lankan curry being a favourite. Some people on here have complained about the time they waited for their food but we thought the pace was good considering everything is freshly made and so delicious .. I would say if you want fast food, go to a fast food restaurant. All the staff were hardworking and friendly. Again, some people on here have said the rooms are not up to scratch but we found everything in order and were very comfortable in our room for 2 nights .. probably not the sort of place to stay for a long vacation though. Would definitely recommend and would happily go back.

After checking in to room 5 I was shocked to see how old the room was and how unclean the toilet was. Loud music and the smell of weed throughout the hotel. Asked for alternative room. Non available so checked out. Felt much more like a hostel.

We had one of the 2 attic room's, great view but no terrace or balcony. Fantastic restaurant on site for dinners and breakfast, bar area and right on the beach near the flags for swimming. Surf hire and a couple of cafe's on the beach nearby. Need a car, but not much else - loved it.
