I went to the lowther with my wife and some friends and having paid for a meal and disco, we were looking forward to a good night out, what we got was excellent value for money and a fantastic night out, well done to all the staff I could not fault anything.

I must congratulate the staff at The Lowther for their friendly and professional attitude, making it a really enjoyable experience to dine there. Afternoon tea is fantastic, a real luxury experience with good food well-presented at a venue which is so stylish and comfortable. The Lowther succeeds in giving the personal touch alongside a professional service. And the food is...

I've visited the lowther on three occasions. One for a Sunday dinner - As a veggie it was tremendous. I had a specially made pasta dish plus the Sunday Roast (minus the meat) as an addition. Excellent quality food and lovely staff. The manager has it to a tee, very well trained staff and ambience. Two other times I have...

We recently held an afternoon anniversary party for 60 people at the Lowther. The owners, chef and staff worked very hard to ensure that the event was a success and nothing was too much trouble. The buffet was excellent and beautifully presented. The venue room was also bright and airy and we had a free rein to decorate it as...

We stayed at the Lowther Hotel on 22.11.14 for just one night. The staff were helpful and welcoming. Our room was large and very clean, tidy and comfortable. The bathroom was a little small but sufficient for our use. The towels were huge and fluffy which you don't find very often in hotels these days. Plenty tea and coffee in...

I ate here 2 weeks ago. The food was incredible I cannot fault the chef. The service I received was top quality. I don't know about the review below me but they clearly have reviewed the wrong hotel and restaurant. Either that or they were on something. I love this place and I would recommend it to anybody looking for...

We ate here recently and after being seated and shown menus we ordered staters and looked forward to a decent meal. First of all the waitress didn't know anything about the food or specials. Our food arrived mushrooms arrived first and we were told to wait a few minutes for the other people's meals! There were four of us and...

Stayed here on business with a friend. I had never visited Goole or the area before. Such a nice friendly, clean and comfortable hotel. The bed was one of the most comfy i have ever experienced. Breakfast was freshly cooked and served by incredibly enthusiastic member of staff. Although the Hotel is next to the Docks i found it quite...

This hotel is lovely, and I have high standards! Opposite the docks in Goole, it didn't look to be in the best location, and from the outside the hotel looks clean and well kept but nothing special - don't be fooled! This place is a gem, from the outstanding staff who are a credit to the owner, to the restaurant's...

I've used The Lowther Hotel for many years now and it's change of menu to a more upmarket and select choice (what I suppose Goole needs as it hasn't got any competition) was welcomed. The food and service were excellent as the place was very quiet so I expected and hoped it to be to be fair. Seven of us...
