Basic, but clean and best value for money accommodation anywhere around. People on trip advisor tend to comment on this accommodation on picking on details...but no one tends to mention the price difference between shamrock and any other hotel around. I stayed in single room for £35 three times by now, and the closest price to this was £65. In...

If anyone of you stayed in a Butlins chalet in the 70s, then you'll be halfway to knowing just how bad this guest house is. Think it is primarily geared for taking in people from the DHSS who have nowhere else to go. MFI bedroom furniture from a junk shop, filthy and on top of that we paid more through...

We stayed here as a last resort. We booked a triple as only that was the only room available. When we arrived a young man said that he could get us a double. It was a big room with a big double and a single bed in. He offered us some fresh milk in the plastic cartons as there is...

No hint of glamour here; probably not the place to stay with your partner or family. Inexpensive and functional; good enough if you need a cheap place to stay. Decent room with fridge, cereals, milk; also TV and ensuite. Can be very warm in top room. Flimsy curtain and close to railway line.

Gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful and proposed us to see the room first before taking it. We had a triple and it was ok. All we needed for just a night was there. Although the beds seem to be a bit too used and the fridge too!!!!

I had read the reviews and I knew this was budget accommodation. Owners were friendly and helpful. Single room was very small and the bed was very low so I upgraded (extra £15 a night) to a double room. First one had no ventilation and I asked for a fan - it was very hot in there. They gave me...

Can not fault the place. Not the lap of luxury by any means but for a bunch of lads working away from home ideal. Admittedly rough round the edges but cheap enough to compensate. Fridge, toaster and microwave in room with bread, milk and cereals. free parking across the road handy as we had 6 vehicles. Rooms were cleaned regularly...

Stayed here on an overnight. Only £35 for the night. I did book a single room but got upgraded to a double without asking. Very adequate for a nights stay. Kettle, microwave, fridge, tv, what more do you need. Staff very friendly, room clean with an ensuite. Definitely recommended in the area for the money. Real close to enjoy a...

Booked this guest house as we were attending a Wedding reception at another hotel, but there were no rooms available there, and this was the nearest one with a vacancy. We did read the reviews on here, and were a little trepidatious, but it was only one night, so would probably suffice. We were welcomed very nicely, given fresh milk...

Booked this B&B using the internet and google map to stay overnight before embarking a cruise ship, Marco Polo at Tilbury dock. However the River Thames separates the B&B and Tilbury dock which did not show up on the map. Although there is a foot ferry service weekdays, but not on Sunday. So it was £40 Taxi round through the...
