Although the Hotel is somewhat dated (a refurbishment program is underway in the bedrooms) I cannot fault the wedding we held there. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We married outside in the gazebo, the vista of the lake and surrounding woodland made for excellent wedding photos. The wedding breakfast was held in the Lakeside room and the... More

I have stayed here before and found it to be an average hotel. We have had a guide dog with us before and never had any issues. This visit was to prove the exception. Our problems started when we checked in. The reception staff tried to charge us £10 because we had a pet. It was explained that it was... More

Oh where to start.... We received a call on the day of our booking telling us rudely that the card we had reserved with failed to take payment. Instead of asking if we had another card we were rudely told 'it's in our rights to cancel your room' or words to that effect. When we finally got there they couldn't... More

We had a one night stay here. On checking in we were allocated our twin room which, on first sight was a reasonably clean, large room. However, when I sat on the bed it seemed to be pretty lumpy. I turned back the duvet to see a reeaalllly crumpled sheet which looked as if it had already been slept on.... More

Food was excellent well priced and well cooked. Breakfast was good to. Bar prices very reasonable for a hotel. This is a very good 3 star hotel and great value for... More

Stayed here on the 20th november for one night with my partner and mum and it was absolutly beautifull, we really enjoyed our stay and will be booking future dates to stay again. Staff very friendly and the view of the lake in the morning was lovely. 10 out of 10 for the rooms, the views and the staff!

We stayed here one night. The hotel is just next to the A2, but despite the fact that our room faced the A2, we had a good nights sleep. The other side of the hotel faces a lovely treelined lake. Would be wonderful to visit in summer. Staff very friendly and nice breakfast. Room very simple, but adequate.

This place is called in on the lake and on the photo's it looks quite nice but fail to mention that the A2 runs by just as close as to the lake, Literally a stonesthrow away on the opposite side of the hotel. Chicken was served slightly pink on one meal and the chips on another were practically ineddible. Kept... More

Stayed here with my family for 2 nights. We were here to celebrate an anniversary. Upon arrival we were very happy with the scenery. The very helpful staff managed to get us rooms next to each other with the lake view. The rooms were very spacious and bed was comfortable. We were able to easily get out of our rooms... More

My husband and I attended a Charity Ball with a lovely cooked and piping hot meal. The staff were very attentive. We had booked an overnight stay. Our room was spacious and comfortably furnished and very clean overlooking the lake.Breakfast was very good and the service was excellent. Would definitely use this hotel again.
