We used to stay here quite regularly but stopped a few years ago due to the very hard and uncomfortable beds. We needed to stay following a party here at the weekend and hoped that now it was a Best Western Plus hotel it would have improved and maybe have been re-furbished. Very wrong! I would call it a Worst...

We stayed overnight when attending a Gilbert & Sullivan evening. The room was modern, clean and functional. The food for breakfast was excellent. The food during the event was good but quite old fashioned, but probably better than expected. Lovely grounds and very relaxing location.

This is a very special hotel which was the home of W.S. Gilbert, who was part of Gilbert and Sullivan who wrote the operas. We had a Christmas dinner in the Music Room and a very good presentation of The Mikado. This I will always remember, it really is the best of British. The hotel stages different events, so please...

Overall we were very impressed with our stay. The food was lovely and portion size just right. We might recommend additional training for waiting staff in the restaurant particularly at breakfast when the speed to clear tables was inappropriate, removing empty plates prior to both parties finishing their meal. The grounds are beautiful and we would consider staying again.

Photos don't do this hotel justice as they can't show it's quirky atmosphere. We visited for a family birthday party and had 2 nights stay. We were in garden lodge rooms which were extremely good value for money. The room was big with lots of wardrobe and drawer space, all furniture matching! Nicely decorated, large flat screen TVs on wall,...

This is a beautiful place;it used to be the home of W S Gilbert,of Gilbert & Sullivan fame.We stayed in the Garden Suite and I have attached the lovely view from our window. The room was really clean and quiet, and not too hot.The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom facilities great. We enquired about breakfast and was told it was...

Visited 1/12/16 and had a good nights sleep. The house is beautiful in an oldie world way but of course it is very old and is steeped in history. The room was nice but the carpet was a little faded in places and the blind in the ensuite was a bit grubby. My pet hate is a fixed shower head...

My first (and probably last) stay at this locally well-regarded hotel. On arrival reception our welcome was unsmiling and we were given a cursory direction to our room (an Executive Garden room on the first floor of a modern annexe) and had to ask where breakfast would be served the following morning. On inspection our bathroom had a large puddle...

We stayed in this beautiful hotel set in massive grounds after finding a great deal online. Probably the cleanest hotel room I've ever stayed in and with a massive comfy bed. Ordered two different sandwiches for room service, again these must of been the nicest sarnies I've ever had. 6 triangles of each surrounded with crisps and a large pot...

The hotel itself is in a great location away from the hustle and bustle of inner London. With that being said it is only a 40 minute journey to central London due to excellent nearby transport links (Metropolitan line from King's Cross). T&Cs stated hotel check-in had to be before mignight however the reception desk stayed open at least half...
