Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It does not give you the feeling you are visiting a guest house, Liz and Mike will welcome you to their house and you feel you are with your family until you leave. If you checked in late expect them to come to your room and make sure they welcome you home in person and ask if you need anything. Mister Mike is a chef (in my openion) so try their home made breakfast to charge your day with healthy food (ask about his home made yougurt! And for Liz to put her classical music channel for you while you eat you will not regret I promise) . The lovely couple ended my stay by giving me a ride to the train station when they realized i am late for my flight they even walked with me until the ticket office inside ( I didnt wanna leave was enjoying talking to them hence the delay lol ). Highly recommend them, end up friends and for sure if I visit again I will stay with them!! Thanks Liz and Mike for making your home my home!!

Property's Favourite Review
My 15-year old boy and me had a fantastic stay at Croft Corner between games at Old Trafford. The room was immaculate, with brilliant beds, a brilliant shower and fresh flowers. Everything was crisp and clean. And everything worked, including the wall-mounted torch and the wall-mounted toothbrush charger. Liz and Mike were warm and highly attentive but certainly not intrusive. It was a pleasure to meet them and to stay at their guest house. We look forward to returning throughout the coming football season.

I normally don’t book a B&B, as I am not a ‘morning person’ but the location was excellent for a funeral that we were attending nearby. Also the property is only approx. 1 mile from the town centre, which we walked into on a couple of occasions while staying here. Our hosts were extremely friendly and the place was immaculate. The house also has beautiful gardens to sit in, and is non smoking throughout, which was a real bonus. There is also a beautiful conservatory, looking out over the gardens, if the weather isn’t so good. Breakfast was excellent and our host was very attentive to our needs. The ensuite was small, adequate for ourselves, but might be awkward for anyone needing a bit more space. It had a sliding door, to save space, but maybe didn't provide as much privacy as some would like? There is onsite parking, which is a real bonus, we were able to leave the car there for the duration of our stay and enjoy walking around the area. However, I did manage to set off the smoke alarm, on the last morning (sorry!) as I was drying my hair. The room that we were in had a smoke alarm directly above the mirror, so I can only guess that it was the steam that set the alarm off. No, we weren’t having a crafty puff, neither of us have ever smoked and are not intending to start now! Thankfully it wasn’t too early in the morning, but I did apologise when I went down for breakfast.

Mike and Liz made me so welcome. The room was five star, with all facilities that one can possibly need, but most of all superb comfort and a great bed. I was impressed on how a lot of thought has been put in to ensure you have a relaxing and enjoyable stay, a big well done for that! I enjoyed my buffet breakfast overlooking a lovely garden. All in all Croft Corner is very good value with exceptional customer service, so needless to say, I will be returning. Thanks Mike, thanks Liz.

The whole experience was seamless. Booking was done by our daughter who lives locally then we took over. Very friendly welcome, large room and bathroom well decorated and fitted out. Coffee and tea-making facilities in the room with biscuits and chocolate 👍 We only required a light breakfast, which was perfect for us. Very good coffee with "professional" machine. Thank you Mike and Liz for your kindness and professionalism, we will be back.

Never stayed in a guest house before, I have now realised I have missed a trick if they are all as good as Croft Corner. The room and facilities were top quality. I booked last minute, but Mike was very welcoming. I will definitely use Croft Corner again if I am in the area.

Mike and Liz were very welcoming. We stayed for one night, our room was comfortable, well appointed and spotlessly clean. The guest lounge and dining area were comfortable and also spotless. Great breakfast, freshly prepared the following morning. Would recommend.

This B&B was very clean, neat and tidy plus value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. When we left we received a text on the way home, my sister was staying in one of the other rooms and had left her Kindle and glasses. The owners returned it to her by courier the very next day. Supurb service and I would highly recommend the establishment.
