Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

What an absolute find. Close to Manchester Airport but not noisy. This place is really lovely. Has everything you need for a nights stop before a flight. Fantastic breakfast with really friendly staff. Recommend this place 100% The honey Bee pub is a 5 minute walk and sells nice pub food

Lovely place to stay before a flight from Manchester Airport. Pleasant little place, comfy room with a big TV with sky, coffee machine, WiFi and air conditioning. Lovely hot shower. Only downside was the mould in the shower area (room 1) - this should be sorted immediately as it doesn't look great. Other than that a lovely stay and I'd use again happily. Taxi into Wilmslow for dinner was around £7 so very reasonable.

We booked the venue and all 12 rooms for my Daughters wedding. Ample secure parking for the number of rooms. On the whole, the venue was very good for the Wedding ceremony, evening reception, overnight stay and breakfast. The staff were generally helpful but could have a little more friendly. Sulky faces are not welcome at a wedding. They definitely all worked very hard so perhaps they may have been short staffed. My room (4) was excellent. Very clean and all the facilities you would want for a one night stay. Only negative was the hot water. It was VERY hot and it didn’t seem possible to add any cold in the shower. The Full English breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked to order by a really nice chap who went out his way to meet any personal food preferences. The venue is very close to the airport but noise was not a problem.

Stayed here on the 24th July, my birthday, before jetting off early hours. Myself and granddaughter had a room over from the main building. Room was so small but ok for a night. Bathroom had cobwebs hanging from the ceiling but apart from that, all ok. My daughter had a room in the main building with her two young sons, aged 4 and 5. The stairs were a death trap so upstairs was not used. The bathroom was dated, mouldy and dirty, wasn’t used by any of them. They all slept downstairs. The carpet needed a good vacuum or ideally replacing . Just needs a good deep clean. Woken at 12 ish as ppl outside thought it would be ok to be as loud as they liked. Had to get up at 3 so tired for the journey ahead. The surroundings were lovely and the honey pot restaurant was fab.

A group of 6 of us went to Rylands for a dinner party and overnight stay in July 23. The team organising our event were lovely! We had a wonderful chef make us an absolutely incredible 3 course meal within the gorgeous conservatory. The room was decorated with lovely plants and a beautiful rustic dining table it felt so special. We had Asian duck to start, monkfish and shrimp for main and a deconstructed Manchester tart for the pudding! It was delicious! The venue had a great selection of drinks and we had wines and cocktails made by a friendly host. We all stayed over for the night and we’re given access to a lovely after dinner lounge were we took drinks and chilled into the evening! It was lovely and intimate. The rooms were all to a great standard, clean and comfy! The venue it’s self is beautiful it sits within fields of horses and there’s a beautiful tipi which I believe is for weddings and events! I would 100% recommend this place for any events or dinner parties/ weddings! It was a great find and lovely hosts!! Thanks, Sophie , Josh and friends! Xx

The guesthouse is situated not far from places to eat etc. It cost us £5.90 each way in a taxi to get to Hickory’s. The room was clean and tidy, very cosy but had everything you needed for a overnight stay. The breakfast was incredible & the staff were lovely. Would definitely recommend and would use again.

Booked Rylands Farm as flying out of Manchester Airport for the first time and it was very close. Really enjoyed our stay here for one night, plenty of parking, clean and comfortable. Breakfast next morning was very relaxed in the conservatory overlooking a lovely garden with flowers and a horse in the field. Would have been 5* only we had the room above the kitchen, so we were woken when the kitchen was getting going and cooking smells. Would certainly stay again but not in that room. Owners and staff lovely, Rylands met our needs, recommended.

Where to begin?! Deluxe King Room King size bed yes but not the XL King bed described. Anyone over 5’10” I hope you have strong knees as you’ll be bending quite a bit. Unless you’re a 4” size zero model you will not take more than 2 steps in the bathroom, teeny tiny. 25 square meters…..half that if you’re lucky. Had to shuffle around the bed as not enough space to walk around it. Not a single person seen who works here. Didn’t even see any guests either but could definitely hear them. Next door must have had really bad hayfever as they sneezed a lot….not their fault of course. Couldn’t find the Wi-Fi password anywhere. Positives - the bed was comfy, outside is scenic and there’s a nice pub called The Honey Bee 4 minute walk away
