We stayed at the Atherston Bungalow. What a beautiful and cozy home. Our hostess Judith was very gracious and gave us suggestions for nearby restaurants . Everything we needed was provided. Luxurious towels, food basket, coffee, cream, juice and water. This home is beautifully decorated and we would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable retreat.

A relaxing stay in a lovely home from home. Great breakfasts, lovely rooms, comfortable porch to chill, read or doz off. UIrbanna is a quiet town with good places to eat and some boutique shops. It is not far to walk to the water wher there is a marina.

We were in town to visit friends and needed a place to stay. They were full up but had a cottage on the outskirts of town. Wow!! It was a museum quality reproduction of an Arts and Crafts bungalow. What a place of beauty. We were there to visit friends so regrettably did not spend much time at the bungalow... More

We stayed overnight Saturday, Labor Day weekend. I had been in contact with the owner, Judith, prior to our stay because I have family nearby. Then, after having an allergic reaction at my parents' house, I emailed Judith last minute Saturday morning to see if we could stay that same night. She emailed me back immediately. We couldn't have felt... More

Atherston Hall is a little slice of England nestled near the banks of the Rappahannock River. The rooms in this house, which was built in the late 1800's, are named after counties in England and contain books to educate you about the respective county. I have, so far, stayed in all but 1 of the guest rooms at Atherston Hall... More

On a weekend to explore the Middle Peninsula & Northern Neck, we chose Atherston Hall for our B&B... and we are looking forward to returning as it was the BEST B&B we've stayed in over our 26 years of marriage! Judith & Bill are delightful people with a commitment to excellence and personal service. The house is immaculate, the Somerset... More

Stayed there on Saturday and it was just as fabulous as our first stay in 2011. The owners are very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are very comfortable and the house is picturesque. The breakfasts are wonderful! I highly recommend this B&B! Urbanna is a great little town and the perfect base for exploring Northern Neck and Williamsburg.

We had a short visit to Urbanna but Judith made it a memorable one. The room was charming. The B&B included a charming English garden that her husband Bill had landscaped. So inviting. Breakfast could not have been tastier with a fritata and fresh fruit. I look forward to another visit in the near future.
