Stayed at Fort Story in the cabins... location was great with access to the beach everyday. Not really a swimming beach but, was a great place to walk the dog and take in the sites. Also, the lighthouses are great to visit too. Don't forget to pick up groceries as there is no access to a commisary on Fort Story.... More

I'm only rating my recent stay as average. First, the room was cleaned but still found a cheese snack under the chair from previous tenants and the room smelled look cooking grease. I guess you run into that when you have a kitchenette and no fresh air coming thru the room. Lastly, the "Continental Breakfast' was only subpar. The staff... More

We stayed here the 23rd-26th and it was an awesome stay! We were in town for a family reunion and my dad booked us a suite. We didn't know it was renovated so we expected the worst but it's was a great room. The only down fall we experienced was there was no tub. It was a shower only. When... More

I arrived at the hotel at 11 PM on a Friday night, for a spontaneous family vacation, and was pleasantly surprised to find that they had rooms available for the night and the following night as well. I was even happier to find out that the room would only cost me and my family $58 a night! When every other... More

Was told check in starts at 3, arrived around 3:30 and still had to wait another hour for our room to be cleaned and ready. However, it was well worth the wait. Suites are spacious, recently renovated, and well decorated. Breakfast offers lots of choices. Will definitely be staying here for future visits.

Our 1st experience with a Navy Lodge (3rd party provider of lodging for USN) as we visited our daughter. Every room with patio doors to nice landscaped property, suites are especially nice but even a standard room has mini-kitchen with all you need to keep & prepare meals if you like. Very pleasant staff - soon forgot we were on... More

My room was extremely clean. The sheets were fresh and of very good quality. All the conveniences of an upscale hotel and for an excellent price. The parking lot is very well-lit and front desk accommodating. Absolutely no problems.

First time to this area of VA. A lot to see and do. The Navy Lodge was very nice and the breakfast bar dining area was perhaps best of the six Lodges we have stayed at in past three years. All employees courteous.

I stayed in one of the so-called one bedroom Cabins, but it's really 2 bedrooms, because they don't count the loft. These cabins are well maintained and stocked with cookware and utensils. Nice appliances (Refrigerator, electric stove and microwave). A decent flat screen TV with cable and a dvd player. Couch rolls out into a bed, but the kids found... More

My family and I stayed here for two months while waiting for on base housing to become available. The staff was absolutely dedicated and extremely accommodating. They genuinely went above and beyond to make us feel welcome during the Christmas season to include cookie nights for the kids and a free manager's reception dinner every Wednesday night. My kids loved... More
