This is probably the 8th year in a row we've stayed in colonial housing on at least one trip during the year. Locations are convenient and offerings vary by specific location but we've enjoyed them all. Staff have worked diligently to meet or exceed our expectations. The

A friend and I decided to tour Williamsburg in late August. Where to stay? History buffs, we decided on a room in the Market Square historic house. What fun! In the heat of the day - we were able to use the spa facilities and enjoy a cool dip in the pool. After more touring we

Accommodations were amazing and the staff is excellent! To spend a weekend living in history was amazing! The staff here was second to none. We dined at the King's Arms and we were educated and entertained while we ate a splendid dinner.

You will always have the option of the Williamsburg Inn (elegant, pricey) or Lodge for breakfast. Depending upon the time of year Shields Tavern might be open for breakfast. You can also walk to Market Square at the end of Duke of Gloucester street. There are several places there. Our favorite in Williamsburg requires a ten minute drive. Old Chickahominy House. It’s a real southern style restaurant. Very reasonable and very local!
