I found the staff to be nice and the property is beautiful (dreary in the winter but I'm sure lovely in the spring and summer). Like other reviewers I had a first floor room so you do hear the creaking and thumping from the room above. But if your upstairs neighbors retire early, it's not too bad (just be aware...

I had called ahead 1 week prior to driving the 7 hours that I traveled to attend my Nephews wedding and was told that the checkout times are 11 am. I wanted to find out when my wife and I can check in and was told to call the front desk early the day of arrival so they can have...

Wedmore Place is set in the Williamsburg WInery, a few minutes drive from Williamsburg itself, but well placed for some historic sightseeing. The building itself is delightfully furnidhed - each room having an individual style with tasteful furnishings (antique mostly). Staff are welcoming and helpful, though quite why there's no offer to help with luggage is a little odd given...

Property is beautiful. We stayed in a suite that was over priced. The shower was small and tight. The wood floor above was loud and creaky. The folks above us woke up each morning at 5AM and seemed to run marathons each morning. We were able to hear their arguments. We could not get the AC to work properly. We...

Thank you for taking the time to share your review of your experience at Wessex Hundred. We greatly appreciate you choosing to spend your Thanksgiving holiday with us and regret that your experience did not meet either of our expectations. We are especially sorry that the concierge did not call ahead to verify that the establishment was open on Thanksgiving....

Wedmore is a very welcome surprise and a quite escape from the tourist hotels that house endless family and school visits to Colonial Williamsburg. The rooms are super spacious, beautifully appointed and the entire property is in tip top condition. The European heritage of the owners is evident in the decorating accents and the phenomenally authentic Croissants and Pain au...

This hotel is a hidden gem: peaceful, tasteful and quite refreshing. Wedmore Place is a welcome change from the standard "cookie cutter" chain hotels. The food in their dining room in a "Wow." I am reluctant to lavish upon him all the praise their chef deserves because then the reservations will all be taken when we return next month! I...

Room was very nice, the bath was ok but the shower was low end. The breakfast service was not good, I.e. Hampton Inn is better. The servers did not communicate the offerings. We thought there was only buffet but others actually could order custom selections.

This was our third stay at Wedmore. We have gone in December in the past to celebrate my birthday. This year we went in October to celebrate my husband's. The staff continues to be friendly, helpful and professional. We had some issues with our room last year and were offered a complimentary future one night stay. Even though the staff...

This lovely hotel is a little off the beaten Williamsburg-Jamestown path, but in a good way. Nestled in a vineyard, its exterior and interiors are charmingly minimalist and will remind you of a European inn. Husband and I stayed two nights and found its location a calming oasis in the midst of the neighboring tourist hustle-bustle but easy to get...

We've stayed on the Williamsburg Winery property, The Wedmore Place a number of times and are never disappointed. The winery offers tours, tastings and an interesting number of facts about wine making while the hotel offers much more than a night's stay. Every room in the hotel is based on a different international theme. Some rooms come with a fireplace...
