The Cedars is located directly across from William and Mary and an easy walk to the historic area of Williamsburg. We only used our car for a side trip to Jamestown. The owners are a young couple who recently acquired the property. They are enthusiastic and working hard to make staying at their property a unique experience. While we were...

Beautiful colonial building, immaculate, with a pretty garden and charming period furnishings. Warm and efficient welcome from Brittany in the evening. Our Plantation Room was lovely, light and airy, and the four-poster bed exceptionally comfortable. OWner Alex prepared delicious breakfasts and was a great host. As a history teacher, he provided both fascinating background and advice on visiting nearby colonial...

I'm very happy you enjoyed your stay at the Cedars especially noting our friendly staff. It's so comforting to know that - even when Laura and I are not present - that our staff is still so friendly with our guests. I'm also happy that my history degree wasn't for naught :-) There's so much history to be discovered on...

We stayed here during the Grand Illumination and weekend of W&M student performances. The location is a hop and skip from PBK Hall and the Muscarelle Museum. The rooms are quaint leaning to Colonial decor. Our room had a fireplace that turned on with a wall switch (easy), fridge, Keurig, and TV. The breakfasts were tasty. The staff was 6...

We hope that when guests stay here they feel warm and included as part of our little Cedars family. We hope to see y'all back soon as we continue to improve upon a...

For those who enjoy the B&B experience this is a very nice B&B with excellent breakfast and an owner that goes beyond what one would expect. We arrive around 5:30 PM, we were left in the front hall while the person in charge went back to the office. She came back later to give us the key to our room...

Thank you very much for your kind words. While misunderstandings do occur from time-to-time, I'm glad that I was able to amend any ill-feelings towards our B&B. We pride ourselves on our friendly service and although it may have started slightly rocky, I'm glad that you ultimately had a wonderful and fun time. Looking forward to seeing you guys again...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The breakfasts were awesome and the rooms and charm were very nice. Very pleasant (somewhat new) owners and staff made our stay all the better. Great location too - just a short walk to the downtown. Hope to return one day.

Thanks for your kind words. We are new owners and we're glad our energy showed itself. Despite our youth we have a great staff behind us that makes taking care of our guests an equally pleasant vocation. We're looking forward to seeing you guys again and making your stay even better.

My wife and I spent three nights at the highly rated B&B in late October. The B&B, ideally located next to the College of William and Mary and close to Historic Williamsburg, is under new ownership, now managed by a young couple, Alex and Laura, who seemed very enthusiastic with their new venture. Overall our stay was pleasant, and our...

Well thank you for being such a wonderful guest! It was a joy talking about Japanese culture with you. Thanks for teaching me a lot about the importance of beauty contests and the continued westernization of post-war Japan. Just another conversation at The Cedars :-) Thanks again for your kind words. The charm of this lovely B&B cannot be overstated. We stayed in the Martha Washington Room - smallish, but perfect for a weekend or a few days visit to the 'Burg. A short walk to Merchant's Square and DOG Street, right across from Phi Beta Kappa Hall. Not to mention the delicious breakfasts and delightful friendly, staff.
