My neighbor and I made spur of the moment plans to drive up to Williamsburg from coastal North Carolina. I was in charge of accomodations and checked if the Fife and Drum had any vacancies the first week in December. They did not have two single rooms available, so we took a two bedroom suite that worked out fine. The...

Traveled from Virginia Beach. Fife and Drum Inn is tucked in Merchants Square area, but within walking to Historic Williamsburg, William & Mary, and many fine shops and eating establishments. The Inn itself is unique and been restored with attention to all decorating details but includes up to date modern luxuries. The Owner and Staff are friendly & attentive to...

The Fife and Drum is an excellent place to stay when visiting Colonial Williamsburg. It's conveniently located within walking distance to all of Williamsburg's attractions as well as a short easy drive to Jamestown. The Fife and Drum is cozy, quaint, and inviting. Such a beautiful in -town Inn. The location is perfect for all those who may be visiting the College of William and Mary, visiting the historic area, shopping, visiting the other historic places, such as Jamestown and Yorktown. I have no idea why my husband and I have not stayed here before now. It is a very cozy, clean, and comfortable B&B. The common area is full of light and has several small tables for breakfast as well as a small nook with a sofa where you an read or watch a TV to catch the news. The...

A big plus is the location - so easy to walk to the sights and restaurants. The staff was very knowledgeable and assisted with tickets/dining suggestions. I highly recommend the wine lovers...

This was a beautiful Inn in a great location. Williamsburg is a beautiful town with so much to see and do. We were sorry we were only able to stay for 1 night and hope to be able to return again soon. Our room was lovely and the breakfast was great.

My stay at the Fife & Drum Inn made my first trip back to Williamsburg since 1973 that much more special! It was nice having the amenities of a modern hotel while always feeling you were back in Colonial America! There is no substitute for waking up in a nice Inn with breakfast ready for you just down the hall,...

My husband and I recently visited the Fife & Drum Inn for our 48th wedding anniversary. Never having been to Williamsburg before, we weren't sure where to stay. Did we ever find the perfect place! This lovely Inn is absolutely in the heart of colonial Williamsburg. The owners, Billy and Sharon, (especially Billy as Sharon was busy with her hot...

We just stayed as a family at the Drummers Cottage and it was a great family vacation. I only wished we had stayed longer. The cottage was perfect for family of 4 and the boys enjoyed sitting on the front steps probably more than inside. The location is perfect and walkable to Colonial Williamsburg and the College of William and...
