In a recent stay in Deer Harbor we enjoyed dinner at the Deer Harbor Inn. The atmosphere of the dinner room is charming! The dinner items included both soup and salad. We enjoyed both the soup and the salad and liked that they were served home style. The bread was excellent. My wife thought her fish dish was very good.... More

The best thing about this place is the farm-like setting. Apple trees line the gravel circle drive and Dylan, one of two cats, will greet you. Deer roam the grounds and on a past visit we saw rabbits. There are a couple of cottages and the two-story "lodge," with eight rooms, which is where we stayed. If you like knotty... More

We enjoyed our visit... We walked from the harbor about a half mile up a country road... The food and atmosphere was vintage 1980's... Including live piano music! Service was excellent and the price was reasonable.

We spent 2 nights in one of the cottages. We would have spent another night, but they were all booked up. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is a quieter part of the island. If you want to be within walking distance to shopping and restaurants this may not be the place for you. There is one restaurant on... More

I'm the first to admit that we're a little picky about hotels. This place was comfortable but seemed a little run down, tired and needed a little TLC! Overall it was okay, but was certainly dated. Coffee seemed like a nice addition but open, unsealed cans didn't seem hygienic.. Restaurant was good, great food and good service. To rate it... More

We had family come from the East Coast for a summer "family time" vacation. There were many options for us to spread out...the Norton House, Lodge, Harbor View Suite finding very comfortable beds, really clean and well equipped kitchens, TV, record player, DVD. The restaurant was a real treat with real homemade soups, salads, steaks perfect as well as the... More

We flew out to Seattle (live in North Florida), picked up a car, drove two hours to ferry, ferried across (hour and half) to Orcas Island. Had to remind ourselves to slow down and enjoy the scenery! It's a slower pace than we are used to. The Inn, while not in the least bit fancy, was very clean and comfortable.... More

Remodeled old Lodge.. clean room. Comfortable bed.. nice surroundings. One tip: get one of the cabins or upstairs room in the lodge.. DON"T get a downstairs room in the lodge..Had we gotten a cabin or upstairs room, things would have been much better. There was only downstairs rooms in the lodge available when we booked. When they modernized the lodge,... More

The Deer Harbor Inn has several different options you can stay in, including cabins, hotel rooms, and a little cottage called "Norton House". We chose the Norton House option, and got it with a Groupon. The Groupon was several hundred dollars for the weekend, and while the location was nice, the cottage was quite run down with doors not closing,... More

Very quiet. Clean room, nice big bathroom. It was great having a mini fridge in the room. Complimentary water bottles, granola bars and yogurt were in the room when we arrived. Don't be alarmed if you don't actually talk to anyone that works there. Just pick your welcome bag and key at the office, hassle free and be on your... More
