I'm the first to admit that we're a little picky about hotels. This place was comfortable but seemed a little run down, tired and needed a little TLC! Overall it was okay, but was certainly dated. Coffee seemed like a nice addition but open, unsealed...More
We had family come from the East Coast for a summer "family time" vacation. There were many options for us to spread out...the Norton House, Lodge, Harbor View Suite finding very comfortable beds, really clean and well equipped kitchens, TV, record player, DVD. The restaurant...More
We flew out to Seattle (live in North Florida), picked up a car, drove two hours to ferry, ferried across (hour and half) to Orcas Island. Had to remind ourselves to slow down and enjoy the scenery! It's a slower pace than we are used...More

The above answers seem to tell it all. Our cell phones did not work in that area of the island. We did not even try the WiFi as we were there to get away from it all. The TV was small and we never turned it on. We did not get a chance to eat at the restaurant, as it was only open in the evenings. We would spend the day in other parts of the island, and had always eaten by the time we came back to the lodge. Breakfast consisted of some yogurt, some breakfast bars, and some coffee that can hold you over until you can go out to seek breakfast. This is a great get-away spot, not a resort.
