We were lucky to get a booking only a day ahead for one of the two units in this B&B. Knowing that the access road up to the B&B might be somewhat challenging (although we managed fine in an ordinary sedan) we picked up up deli fixings for a picnic supper at the wonder QFC supermarket in Stanwood. Our double... More

Off the beaten path, this B&B is a treasure! Travel up the mountainside to a beautiful home with the nicest people ever! We stayed in the King Suite with a picture window that overlooked Puget Sound, a beautiful mountain range, and lots and lots of trees. The flowers were in full bloom and spectacular! Several small bodies of water all... More

This was our first experience with a B & B and we were very pleased with the experience! Vic and Linda were amazing hosts, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the home cooked meals were delicious, and the company and atmosphere were great. We don't have anything negative to say about this experience. We really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely... More

We had a great stay at this charming B&B. Tucked between the trees with a wonderful view, the house has a privet short gravel way up a hill covered with the trees canopy. We were welcomed by Vic and Linda to a warm and cozy living room. The room we stayed in was with two comfy queens and with enough... More

We had booked two nights at the beginning of our three week visit to Washington State, to stay at Whispering Firs. We weren't prepared for the unmade road up the side of the mountain but with wheels spinning and no idea how far up we had to travel, we safely arrived at the door of the Lodge with a sigh... More

I recently spent five nights at Whispering Firs while attending a painting workshop at Dakota Arts in Mt. Vernon - and I loved it! You need to be prepared for the 1/2 mile dirt road that leads you to Whispering Firs, but let this be encouragement as a unique and wonderful place awaits you! The owners built this place themselves... More

Though just a short distance from the freeway the house was set back in a beautiful section of Pacific Northwest forest. The inside of the home was lovely and there were lots of interesting decoration pieces. The large back deck displays a scenic view and you can watch the sun go down from the outdoor hot tub. Our room was... More

This was a last minute booking on the last few days of our trip. What a beautiful place! The hosts, Linda & Vic, were superb, welcoming, friendly, interested and superb breakfast. The house itself is gorgeous, the views of Puget Sound, the trees, flowers, peace and tranquility just made our stay perfect. Linda also sent us to a great restaurant... More

I'd like to be able to tell you what the best thing about the Whispering Firs is but given that there are so many great things about it its tough to decide. Linda and Vic are great hosts. We had a tremendous time just sitting around and talking with them throughout our stay. The food was outstanding! We took advantage... More

A little mother/daughter time well spent and great fun. Once we got up the mountain, the B&B and the Hostess were very inviting. Beautiful grounds with a variety of hiking trails...small ponds with bullfrogs that serenaded us at night. The decks offered great views of the valley. Spot on recommendations for activities and restaurants. LA Conner was especially nice. The... More

“If you can, opt for the suite: it is very large, has interesting decor, a private bath, and a private deck off to the side. The view from the windows is amazing! The "average" on cleanliness was mainly a result of some "doggy odor" in our sitting room.”
