This place was ok for one night, but nobody there when we arrived or all night, nothing special about the place, but high priced for what was offered. Breakfast was not special in any way, parking on the street or behind seemed a little risky in that neighborhood. Garden area outside is very pleasant, and certainly offers opportunities to improve.

My daughter and I stayed in the Bamboo Bungalow, which is a small duplex in a residential neighborhood away from the main B&B. It was lovely and quiet and comfy, with everything we needed. We loved the quirky yard, with handmade driftwood art and chair and, of course, bamboo. Nice to have a kitchen and a washer and dryer. This... More

Stayed here as part of our road-trip holiday this summer. We made it our mission that we would not stay in any chain hotels during this vacation, which ended up being great! This is a very fun, quaint older home in Olympia. We stayed for only one night on the weekend, so ended up paying a $35 surcharge (mandatory 2... More

This is the best b and b I have ever stayed at! Comfy bed, great linens, good coffe and delicious food, and welcoming hosts. The gardens are beautiful and we were made to feel very much at home. I hope that we can stay longer next time, and highly recommend it to anyone.

Part of me doesn't want to leave this review, because it's getting harder and harder for me to get a reservation at this hidden gem of an oasis... all the positive mixed metaphors in the world couldn't do it justice. It is so quiet and comfortable here. Plenty of outlets for my business needs. After a day's work, those sweet... More

As Celiac's, we had a five star stay at Olympia WA's Fertile Ground Guesthouse. In addition to being knowledgeable (and accommodating) of those with Celiac Disease/Gluten Intolerance and Allergies, they are also Fragrance Free. Our time there was in early February. It was So Quiet at night. The home is on the Historic Registry and the grounds are full of... More

I come to Olympia regularly for work and I usually try to stay at fertile ground. They give government rate, the breakfasts are amazing, the location is convenient, the linens are soft, and you are not having your money go to a larger hotel chain. My only real criticisms are the South and North rooms only have a (shared) bathtub... More

I stayed in there bunk room at the end of July while passing through and it was great and affordable. I am a single traveler and love to meet the locals and learn about the area through them. They had a great breakfast and gracious hosts.

I called to make a same day reservation with the hope of a greener landing than a local hotel. The owners returned my call within a few hours to invite me to stay. They were very friendly and welcoming. I was given directions for entering the house and did not see them until the next morning. My room was clean... More

“You can't go wrong. North (view of library across the street-- auspicious, imho) and South (view of backyard-- very nice) rooms share a really nice bathroom and have trundle beds for sleeping up to 4 people. West (view of pergola/wood-fired oven) has its own luxurious bathroom.”

“north and south rooms upstairs for families. The two rooms have more than one bed and share the one bath on the floor. Huge clawfoot tub. No shower. Downstairs has a large bed with an attached 3/4 bath (much smaller room)”
