Choice of accommodation in this area was quite limited. This motel is located on the roadside on the outskirts of the village. There were a few restaurants and a gas station also in the village. The staff were friendly and located in a small reception which doubled as a breakfast room. The breakfast looked very limited so even though it... More

We had a clean and big room and even saw some deer right in front of our room when we woke up. Since it was quite cold when we visited, we were happy, that the heating worked very well. Breakfast is basic but ok.

Location Mountain view lodge is located just off HWY 12, a few minutes from the town of Backwood. Mt. Rainer national park is about a 18 mile drive away. From Seattle airport by car takes just under 3 hours drive and about 100 miles away. Portland is just over 2 hours away. The lodge is an area of stunning nature... More

For proximity to the park you can't beat it. And the price was a real bargain for the time of year that we stayed. The room was large and fairly updated. It was very clean and comfortable. The owners were very helpful in suggesting places to eat and things to see at the park,as well as ways to go. their... More

Thrilled to find Mr. and Mrs. Elk grazing between the buildings on my arrival! Although I had reserved a Queen bedroom, I was upgraded (no extra charge!) to a cabin with 2 queen beds (separate rooms) and a fully-equipped kitchen. (The folks who had been in my Queen room wanted to stay, they liked it so much!) Since I was... More

It's a great location close to the park. The rooms are modern, clean and tidy. The staff are very helpful with information things to see about the park. Breakfast was more than adequate. Packwood itself is small but has a few stores and a choice of places to eat.

We've stayed here before, and it's always enjoyable. The rooms are very clean and smell nice. Comfortable bed! The price was a little higher than we like to spend, but being so close to a national park, the higher price makes sense. If you stay in Packwood, be sure to try Cliff Droppers, the burger place with the fence made... More

Why would you want to stay anywhere else when visiting Mt Ranier National Park? The owners supplied everything for your comfort, it was great value and was so clean even the TV remote control was sanitized daily. As a bed & breakfast owner for 30 years, I can recommend this lodging to anyone.

We stayed 3 nights. Our room in back was quiet, very clean, updated and comfortable. We especially liked the table and 4 chairs which is pretty much unheard of. At first I was disappointed to not be right in town, but everything else about the place overshadows the extremely short drive to town for food/supplies. The breakfast is not elaborate... More

We picked this Lodge when looking on the internet and we were not disappointed. Very eat to find and we received a warm welcome. Room was clean and comfortable, nice bed, good free Wi-Fi. The little town is a perfect Pacific North West town, it had a Pioneer feel to it. Good little store for all you needs and a... More
