Fantastic history, very charming, love the simple furnishings and ambiance. This place is magical. Jody and her crew are warm, welcoming and kind. I can't say enough about Manresa except I will be back. This is a chance to surround yourself in the vintage rooms and antiques. It's like being transported back in time, back to the late 1800's when... More

The bed was great. My bathroom was very nice as well. That was the good; now for the rest. The room was a closet. No place for clothing, and I mean nothing, no closet, no draws nothing but a place to hang my coat. Elevator does not work. The beautiful dinner is closed, no wake up calls. Room door made... More

Enjoyed the clean, comfortable, vintage room and bathroom. Hotel public rooms are beautiful to look at, but difficult to enjoy since restaurant and lounge are closed. The library was open and felt like a classic hotel lobby. The problem is that we were looking forward to the continental breakfast in the very attractive and way above average breakfast room only... If you're looking for a 5 star castle with room service and jet tubs in every room, DONT book a room here. But if you'd like an authentic Victorian era visit then this is the place! The Manresa Castle is NOT an actual castle, and never has been. It originated as a private residence INSPIRED by Prussian castles, then became... More

Our stay at Manresa Castle was truly magical while being both comfortable and affordable, but there are issues you should be aware of and bear in mind. First some fun stuff: It is haunted. It is a famous haunted castle and has been on every TV show that deals with the paranormal. You should befriend the receptioninst and ask for... More

My husband and I stayed here on the second leg of our honeymoon. Although we were promised the Bridal/Honeymoon Suite when we made the reservation, it was "not available" when we checked in. VERY unfriendly, arrogant staff. Will not stay here, again.

Spent 2 nights. Nice building, but not clean. Would be so much better if they made an effort to just clean everything. NO AC!!!!! It was warm to say the least. If you can't handle it - don't stay here. Major lack of simple amenities. Ice had to be put in cereal bowls then taken to room - melted by... More

We had a water view room on a weeknight. The Restaurant and Lounge are only open Thurs - Sun, but we had fun anyway. Beautiful place with wonderful gardens. Definitely want to go there again, but next time over a weekend to be able to try the Lounge and Restaurant. Free continental breakfast everyday.

we stayed in room 302 - which was featured on the ghost tv show. not in great condition - but not dirty either. no elevator that could be used by you - had to have staff do it. so - a lot of stairs. watch the show on tv AFTER you stay there.

We ate in the restaurant upon arrival, and were very disappointed in the food. Did not eat in their restaurant again. The breakfast was just okay - juices, hard-boiled eggs, some pre-made pastries, and cereal, served in their dark breakfast room. Coffee was often empty and had to go ask at the front desk to have it filled. If I... More
