Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I do not recommend the rainforest tour here - it's an incredibly steep price for what is basically a glorified shuttle service to some of the spots in the Quinault rainforest you could drive to anyway. You'll spend most of your time in the van, and the lackluster tour guide adds almost nothing to the experience.

Beautiful lodging right on Lake Quinault and in the heart of Quinault rainforest. Wi fi is available for a fee, rooms are nice size but can get warm since there is no A/C. The outdoor deck is a great way to end the day. It’s a long hike downhill to the lake. Parking is very limited. As with most National Park Lodges, there is very limited technology, no TVs, no phones, limited WiFi. You are there to enjoy the outdoors afterall.

We have been going off and on to Lake Quinault lodge for 45 years and just got back from a 2 day stay. I was quite shocked at how far downhill it has gone. Oh, the main downstairs is still beautiful and the food excellent ( however, coffee is $5 and food super- spendy with few choices. ) But, our room inside the lodge was poor....the cutains had a big hole and fraying....dust thickly covered the headboard where you couldn't easily see it, and the chair upholstery was filthy. The room was so hot that you had to keep the window open all night. There has always been a cozy fire in the huge fireplace....but yesterday they had run out of wood and it was very cold. No effort to make sure the wood supply was good. The people running it weren't very friendly and the attitude of 'treating the guest with thoughtfulness' is definitely not there....mostly just sad for the state of what was once a beautiful, gracious, and peaceful place.

Our fireplace room is normally $245/night but we had BOGO. Room service is only after you stay for 1 week but we had 4 nights. So, the trash cans were overflowing. if you want to replenish coffee, tea or you had to go to the front desk. Want towels - go to front desk. Room had no clock or telephone. The final bill had a separate extra line item of $13+ for electricity. The first 1/2 hour of wi fi was free but most time unavailable. I paid for the extra time but service did not improve. Down the road the Internet Cafe and Dino's Cafe has free internet time limit. I gave a 2 based on the view.

Limited restaurant menu and very high prices to stay during the off-season. We paid over $300 per night to stay in a 1 bedroom unit in Oct. which was the off-season. Maybe that is why the restaurant menu was so limited? The food was ok but also very expensive. And they charge if you want more than 30 minutes of WIFI. At the price they charge for a room, they should include free WIFI. The room itself was good and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. We will not be returning and if we go back to that area, will drive to Ocean Shores, Hoquim, or Aberdeen for lodging.

Our room was small, however, we had a great view of the lake. The lodge is rustic and out of the way in the Olympic National Forest. We had one day of sunshine and one of rain. More sunshine than one might expect in the rain forest. The food was very expensive ($5.00 for a cup of coffee), We did find a nice place to eat close by.

What a letdown! The lodge is certainly in a wonderful location. The lawn and lake views are beautiful. In its nod to its history as a 1926 construction date, I tolerate its well worn features, and its attempts to maintain historical accuracy, However, the Inn has glaring problems. The mattresses in our room were awful....are they 1926 originals? The restaurants is deplorable, given the price tag. Most days we ate elsewhere, however one night we ordered a pizza at the lobby bar simply to avoid the restaurant. The pizza was just awful, the worst pizza we've probably ever eaten. Lastly, the final insult, guests must pay for the internet, and its terrible, very slow to load if it loads at all. The prices are those of a resort, and this is not a resort. There are plenty of alternatives to this and I urge prospective lodgers to sop around.

We have stayed in many National Park lodges so know what to expect. Generally rooms are rustic, no tvs and little WiFi - which is why you generally want to be somewhere like that. The lodge was great, lovely to sit around the fire in the main lodge. There are lots of indoor and outdoor games available, and of course you are there for the views and the walks. Lovely walks around the area, all different lengths so there really are walks for everyone. The lake was a bit choppy during our stay so sadly didn’t get to use the kayaks. We had a room in the boat house, which had a great view over the lake and was very peaceful. What let Quinault down for us for the food. It clearly was not prepared fresh on site, and it appeared as thought everything was microwaved which is a shame.

The Lodge itself is as lovely on the outside as it is in the pictures. The rooms, however are below average. It seems the Lodge uses its "historical lodge" as a marketing crutch to not improve. In the year 2023, and I don't care how we are supposed to "get away from it all", not providing cell phone service and wi-fi is simply an excuse. We went to a restaurant 1 mile away (in the same forest) and had no problem. Very frustrating. We went to Mt. Rainier and there was no problem. The room charges were exorbitant to what you received in return. Yes, the lake is lovely and there is a big lawn to sit on but that is about it. I will say that the beds were comfortable. But I would not stay here again.

Room Tip: Unless you live near the Quinault Forest area this is too much of a trek for mediocre hiking.

Over priced. The property and rooms are run down and not worth the money. Views could be so much better if the landscape was maintained. We were charged a premium for a room with a fireplace that didn’t work. Do not recommend. 30 minutes free Wi-Fi and then a daily charge.
