We had issues similar to "Memory Trouble," unfortunately. I also had a couple of slightly off conversations with the owner in advance, where she didn't seem to realize that she had called me the second time, or who I was. The day of our visit, my husband got there early, took a nap, left our bags, then met me for... More

My husband and I booked a stay at this B&B 3 days ahead of time. The owner seemed pleasant, and friendly. However, when making the reservation, she repeated the same questions I had already answered. I thought it strange, but brushed it off that she was a busy, independent business owner with a lot of guests that roll through. We... More

We arrived early and the innkeeper welcomed us in just to relax, with coffee and warm advice on the area, places to eat, etc. She expedited availability and knew all about the nearby college that we were visiting. We felt very comfortable. Furthermore, when I had a small accident nearby, she was super concerned and helped in any way she... More

We stayed 3 nights, very convenient for visiting our daughter at UPS. We were in the Green Room, it isn't big, but big enough. The bathroom is out in the hall, but we have exclusive use of it, and we no problem that is wasn't in the room. Nice bathroom BTW. The bed is pretty comfortable, the area is very... More

MaryBeth was amazingly hospitable. The location is in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance of Old Proctor where the bars and restaurants are located. The breakfast was delicious and the house is quiet. Great for business.

We stayed for one night on an overnight trip to visit the Museum of Glass. We appreciated the cleanliness, comfort, and attention to detail as well as the delicious breakfast. Mary Beth told us about several places for dinner and gave detailed directions. We enjoyed her suggested restaurant. The location in an older part of Tacoma is lovely.

We returned to this Bed and Breakfast 7 years after our first stay because we remembered the Inn Keeper, Mary Beth, and our stay so fondly.  This is one of the best B and B's we've had the pleasure of visiting.  Mary Beth is really the key.  She is incredibly warm and hospitable with a knowledge of the area stemming... This place is a gem. 7 blocks to the University of Puget Sound in a quiet residential neighborhood close to restaurants and shops. The proprietress is very helpful with restaurant tips, maps and directions to attractions. The bedrooms are small but lovely - the linens superb! I think there are only three rooms to let, so not for a large... More

We had a lovely stay. It was great to have our own little "retreat" away from all the family activity of a big wedding for a niece. The breakfast was delicious, the other guest really interesting, the room pretty, the bed comfortable, and the hostess was quiet, helpful, and sweet (not the sort to make you a captive audience!).

Every once in awhile you get to meet someone who is doing exactly the thing they should be doing at exactly the right time in exactly the right place. Mary Beth King, the innkeeper at GCC, is that person and her Bed and Breakfast is that place. Each morning I enjoyed a fabulous home cooked breakfast, after sleeping in the... More
