Our weekend stay was excellent. The host are very friendly and engaging. The Inn was beautiful and very well maintained. We stayed in the Harvest Room. It was comfortable and has a nice large Jacuzzi. The view from the porch is so nice and peaceful. The food was very good. It's only about 20 minutes from Winchester VA. We would... More

The owners are great hosts, beautiful view and hiking trails, lovely pool and a delicious breakfast. Can't wait to go back in the fall to see the leaves change color. Hand made quilts and decor throughout the house.

My husband and I stayed at this charming bed and breakfast just this past weekend and were incredibly sad to leave. We had been planning on enjoying a peaceful getaway somewhere in WV or VA for our anniversary and we had done two days worth of research in order to find an affordable, yet appealing bed and breakfast. We searched... More

The room and all other areas were so clean and spotless, it was like a picture. The whole room (we had the Harvest Room downstairs) and its decor was as if you stepped into another time, so relaxing. The Jacuzzi was a real treat, as well the bathrobes, they were so very comfy while we enjoyed our fireplace. The breakfast... More

My wife and I had been dying to find a close, peaceful getaway to spend a long weekend along with our young child. The Country Inn at High View came to our rescue - offering a separate house for our little family. The separate house, converted from an old granary (how cool), completely exceeded our expectations. We had everything we... More

My wife and I stayed here once before in June 2013 and loved it so this was our second visit - just as outstanding as the first one! First, I love the peaceful setting of the Inn, out in the country and down a short gravel driveway so you are away from the hustle and bustle. In addition, the views... More

This is a great place to stay! We tied it in with our Potomac Eagle train ride weekend. The rooms have super comfy beds, a deliciously filling breakfast made from scratch, (Gail makes the Best Ever buttermilk waffles) large common rooms for watching tv, reading or playing board games and a front porch with a stunning view! You couldn't ask... More

Absolutely beautiful Bed & Breakfast in the W Virginia countryside. Easy to travel to. The home is very well furnished and the cleanest place I have ever stayed at. Breakfast each morning is fantastic - homemade blueberry scones/muffins are terrific - good coffee. Very flexible to your schedule. The innkeepers are super friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone... More

Surrounded in 250 acres of stunning woodland owned by your hosts, Gail and Grant, this little piece of tranquil heaven is delightful. They built it 10 years ago and it is truly spotless. Grant and Gail are charming innkeepers and breakfast was excellent. The place is extremely clean, well decorated, include free wifi, and large TV in one sitting room. The room we had was not extremely large, but plenty comfortable and large enough with gas fireplace and excellent bathroom. Rooms have separate thermostat for air conditioning and heat. There are several sitting... More

“If you would like absolute privacy, choose the Harvest Room (only guest room downstairs) or Granary Suite (separated from the house).”

“Restaurants are about 15-20 minutes away, so if you are staying long, we suggest you stay in their Granery. It is separate from house and has small kitchen.”

“All are great, the Cherry Room has a gas fireplace.”
 of 5 bubbles 382ralphg, 22 Oct 2013 | Read review
“The Pine room has no fireplace but is sort of on it's own end of the house, over the kitchen, so no one in an adjoining room. It is on the east side so does get the early morning sun. With the earliest breakfast time being 8:30 I can't imagine kitchen noise would be a problem. The Sleigh room is on the 2nd floor and overlooks the field (where you are likely to see deer) and the distant mountains so a nice view! It and the Cherry room are on the west side so won't get as much early morning sun. The AC in the Sleigh room did seem particularly loud when it kicked on.”
