Thatch Caye is very exclusive - nine miles off the coast of Belize makes for some serious logistical challenges. Solar and wind provide electricity, desalination provides potable water, and the boat brings in supplies for guest and staff. This is a different experience than a typical resort as you really are "getting away" from it all. The staff does a...

Brooks, Justin and the ENTIRE Thatch Caye staff is beyond amazing. From the minute you step on to this slice of paradise, you are immediately welcomed as if you are family. In fact we were greeted with fresh watermelon juice and rum! We were on Thatch Caye for three days for a wedding and I cannot think of a more...

The island is quaint and beautiful. The ocean around the place is calm and full of life. Great rooms, great beds, great staff, pretty good food. Still a pretty expensive couple of nights. Overall we had a great time but for the price I'm not sure we'd go again.

Thank you Kacey. We appreciate your honest review. We are an exclusive private island experience and due to the remoteness of the island you're are getting a unique experience that most hotels do not provide. We as well think our island is beautiful and the ocean life around us is remarkable. We value any review and always encourage guests to...

My husband and I had a great time on the island and made a lot of new friends. We chose the all-inclusive package (totally worth it) and stayed for five nights which was the perfect amount of time for us. The staff made us feel welcomed and were super accommodating; Clarence (bartender) and Perez (banquet captain) were rockstars - two...

Loved the island, accommodations, and eating together. Additional excursions were a bit expensive, but good variety. Meals were good, healthy and plentiful. the addition of the day's catch was special.

Ditch the elaborate all-inclusives of the Caribbean and unplug from life at Thatch Caye. My girlfriend and I were impressed from the moment Cruise picked us up at the dock until we exchanged our last story of our trip with Clarence at the Coco lounge before heading home. This staff is excellent and made us feel like we were home....

Lovely experience. 5 days of great accommodations, sweet staff and beautiful beach and amenities. Only downside was the food. Wished we could have had more local fish. We loved extras like the fly fishing trip and snorkeling on the reef.

Thatch Caye was the first resort we stayed in in Belize. We had never been anywhere like that, at that time, and driving up to the dock in the boat and having a drink waiting for us made us feel really special. Thatch Caye is a great destination for those wanting to completely disconnect and have a relaxing experience with minimal expectations.
