Enjoyed dinner there. Has the potential to be a totally exceptional experience. Enjoyed the low key live music/entertainment. Felt warm and inviting. Our service was acceptable but not exceptional; adequate but not exactly attentive. One would assume the menu notes are posted on the ceiling as our waiter looked there - almost continually - while reciting menu details. Felt awkward/disconcerting.... More

We literally stumbled upon this place when my husband and I went for a drive one Saturday. We got lucky and they had one room left with one reservation. Very pretty, charming place. The people who work here could not have been more nice. Will definitely return one day.

After I finished a class in Maryland, my husband and I knew that we had a 10 hour drive and it would take us until at least 3:00am or so in the morning to get home in Kentucky. We needed a place for the night since we couldn't stay awake. We always take the road least traveled and find a... More

We stayed in the Maggie May room in the Carriage House which had a private balcony that overlooked the Elk River. Dinner was incredible and I had two of the best dishes I have ever had. The heirloom tomato salad and the scallops were not to be missed. Breakfast the next morning was also excellent. Chef Tim is one of... More

I really enjoyed setting outside around the fire pit socializing with old friends & meeting/making new friends from the other guest who were staying at the inn. The employees are super friendly, helpful & imfomative about the surrounding area & all the wondful point of interest to visit while in Braxton Co.

Found this place on accident while getting lost in West Virginia. And what a place. Beautiful spot, a very warm greeting, locally fresh foods and meeting the chef. Located right on the river with this old rustic bridge that looks like something out of Madison County. Highly recommended.

My team and I were driving cross-country doing some doc filming. It was raining in the middle of the night, all the hotels were closed (it was 4th of July week) and after calling many places, this one was the closest one in the middle of the night. And BOY, was I glad about it! Upon arrival, we were WARMLY... More

We recently stayed at Cafe Cimino Country Inn in celebration of our upcoming 6th anniversary. We received excellent service. Our dinner was delicious and the staff was very attentive to detail. The following morning the chef and innkeeper met our every need with a tasty breakfast. This place is tucked away but we would certainly recommend it for a special... More

We stayed here because of raving tripadvisor reviews. We had a room upgrade to the Julia Room which was very nice. The room was older and the bathroom could definitely use an upgrade but it was comfortable including the bed. The owners were extremely kind and generous. They even packed breakfast for us as we needed to leave early. Was... More

We stayed at the Cafe Cimino Country Inn Thursday, July 28, while en route from South Charleston, W.Va., to Clarksburg, W.Va. We had heard glowing reviews about the Inn, its grounds and particularly its great dining experience. That certainly was reinforced during our short stay. Dinner and breakfast were outstanding, the service was warm and efficient, and the room (we... More
