A true bed and breakfast experience but quirky and a little noisy from the tv downstairs at night . Check first if you like your bedroom dark as some rooms have muslin curtains only .If you enjoy breakfast it's delicious here although tricky to order the night before without a menu .

The house is set in a lovely location in a quiet area just outside of town with nice views of the countryside. Our hosts were charming and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The room was beautifully furnished in keeping with the age of the building. A well appointed bathroom and shower adjoined the room....

Thank you so much for your lovely review. We enjoyed your visit very much and love to hear details about life in England. Hopefully we will be able to visit your country soon especially for the Chelsea Flower Show.

The was my umpteenth time here at the Lawrencefield and things just keep getting better. Still clean and neat as a pin. Quiet, luxurious rooms. Vintage, classic big bathtubs you cannot find anymore because they just don;t make them like this. Beautiful grounds and best of all the breakfasts. Genuinely kind and gracious hosts Betsy and Dave are the best....

Thank you so much for the gracious review!! We are always so happy to see you and have you return to us! Not only do you return, but you have brought us additional customers as well. You folks are fantastic! Just an FYI for future guests - only the John Room currently has a working bathtub. The Samuel Room has...

I have never been keen on B&B's, I always felt strange about staying in "someone's house". However, this place was amazing. It was stunningly clean and inviting. Our suite had everything we were looking for, a beautiful view, a nice full private bath and a separate room with a twin bed....it was so comfortable, we barely left it. The downstairs...

My husband and I enjoy staying at B&B's. The Lawrencefield was wonderful. Our room was the most spacious we have ever had with so many amenities. The room is set up for convenience and comfort. There's even a super large closet which is a rarity in an older inn. And then there's the gourmet breakfast and beautiful grounds....I could go...

My wife and I stayed just one night and were pleased we had stopped there on a trip home from Indianapolis to Connecticut. The owners, Betsy and Dave, were very cordial and attentive--and cooked up a killer breakfast, with two types of quiche and more than we could comfortably eat. The 1800s house has been very nicely renovated, but it,...

Thank you so much for your review! We do enjoy our guests - this is truly a labor of love here and a lifestyle choice for us. The George Room, our smallest room that we offer, is the only room with a curtain for the doorway to the bathroom, which is still private to the bedroom only. All other rooms...

My husband and I stayed in the John room one night this past November, as Wheeling is a perfect halfway-point for our little road trip from Illinois to the D.C. area. We like to stay in B&Bs when we travel, and I have to say that the Lawrencefield was one of our favorites so far! Our room was very comfortable...

We loved The Lawrencefield! Betsy was so very generous and kind during our stay. The house is gorgeous and filled with history and charm. Our room was beautifully decorated, as was the whole house, and everything was extremely comfortable. Staying here is like taking a luxurious step back in time, with all the modern conveniences one could wish for. When...

My family took over two rooms in the main B&B plus the cottage when we got together for Thanksgiving last weekend. We felt right at home, and Betsy and Dave, the hosts, were so accommodating and pleasant. There's a common area with comfy couches where we watched the OSU-Michigan football game in the afternoon, and we managed to cook our...
