Hands down the best place to stay in Milwaukee. The staff is so welcoming, rooms are beautiful and clean. The history and atmosphere is wonderful and all staff members are well educated on the history and happy/proud to share. Dave not only drove us around safely but always has a welcoming smile and will offer a hand to assist if he can. Love this place...it's always like going home, only better!

Great location if you’re in town for a concert at The Rave - it’s just across the street. I would only sleep here again, don’t bother with the restaurant or cafe and make sure you’ve packed everything you need. They will overcharge you for anything you ask for.

Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to leave a review. We regret to hear that you weren't pleased with our restaurant or café, as we do not hear this complaint often. We would love to know what we can do to improve the food & beverage outlets. Also, as with most hotels, we do have a sundrys list of items to purchase if needed. We apologize that we don't give our items for free, however most hotels you stay at will charge for items. Thank you for your comments and feedback. This art deco property is a winner. They have great service and are pet-friendly. Walking or bus distance from downtown, and they also have free shuttle service. Food and beverage were great. The ownership has obviously put a lot of money into restoring this historic property. It shows.

The hotel’s art deco style is beautiful, the room was very nice, but the star attraction was the staff. We were greeted at check in with a genuine personal smile, all our questions were answered, and we truly felt welcomed. We ate in the Gin Ricky bar and the drinks and food were delicious but the highlight was the bartender who was extremely personable and engaging. We wanted to go to Mass but the departure time for the van did not align with the Mass time and the driver was very accommodating. He also came earlier than we told him to pick us up when the Mass ended early. He too was very personable, and engaging. In the morning we had breakfast in the Deco cafe, and I am repeating myself when I say the food was delicious and the service was great with a very personal touch. There is a distinct difference between good Customer Service and Phenomenal customer service. The Ambassador’s Staff delivered phenomenal Customer Service.…

We stayed at the hotel for the Kesha concert. The hotel is beautiful! I loved the 1920s character and our check in was great! The parking is a ripoff though! We paid $20/car but the tickets the front desk gave us didn’t go to anything. The machine with the arms to go in and out of the parking ramp weren’t working, I wish we would have saved the $40 & not told the front desk… we also got stuck in the elevator after the Kesha concert. It was annoying AF! After the concert it was a mass exodus into the hotel and people were packing the elevators, the employees did not think to control people or mention to us they break down easily, so we over packed the elevator and it broke. They were not nice to us after we got free either - so we were upset about that.

My boyfriend and I stayed on November 3rd, 2023 for one night because we were attending a concert at The Rave across the street. This was actually our second time staying, for the same reason. The hotel is gorgeous!! The rooms are very clean. The bathrooms are some of the nicest hotel bathrooms I've ever used. And I like that they have full sized shampoo, condotioner, and lotion! They have a stocked mini fridge, that does cost extra, but prices for items are reasonable. The beds are so comfortable, too! And the restaurant downstairs is incredible! I highly recommend the smoked salmon caesar salad and the gin Ricky! So, so good!! For the quality of the room, the location of the hotel to our event destination, and the restaurant right downstairs, this place is well worth it in our opinion!! …

Very efficient and friendly check-in. Room was very comfortable. Restaurant was excellent with good food and great service. Convenient parking garage was adjacent to hotel. Our Anniversary was acknowledged at the time of check-in.

We strongly recommend this hotel for many reasons. Our stay was perfect. The hotel is charming, clean, and offers all the comforts you may want, including a hair dryer and drink fridge. They offer a shuttle to downtown, which is very convenient.
