This place is showing its age and clearly doesn't get enough traffic to pay for keeping up.
The rooms are nice, clean, spacious. That is the best part.
The water park is just ok, and running downhill - everything shows significant wear. Main positive is...More
Stayed for one night and had an absolute blast. Enough water fun for adults as well as toddlers. Good pizza and delicious breakfast buffet. Decent sized game room. Just right for family fun without the huge crowds like in the Dells. Will be back again.

If you are comparing the Grand Lodge to the big waterpark hotels in the Dells - no. If you are looking for low key fun, an off-season getaway - yes. My son is 8 and he loved the slides, basketball in the pool, lilypads, water playground. For one or two days, there is enough to do but not like the Kalahari, Great Wolf, Wilderness, etc. The rooms were super spacious which is great when travelling with kids.
