Very charming, cozy, and close access to downtown Dells and Riverwalk. Excellently restored caboose car with modern amenities and well maintained. The woodwork in the interior is detailed and absolutely beautiful. Would definitely come back!

I always recommend staying at the Wilderness one evening (free waterpark tickets day of check in and day of check out) and then stay one evening in downtown Dells at a clean family own operation to enjoy the novelty of the area. I would not recommend this place. The owner is crabby and miserable. I new this when she greeted...

Bugs.... From the outside it looked quaint. On the inside is was dismal. We decided we better check the bed for bugs, and sure enough, when I pulled the bedspread off, a bug was right there on the pillow! YUCK! There was no way were were going to stay there. It may be cheap but save your money. The rooms were dingy and had a lovely stench to them. We also had to deal with the bugs that also call this place home. They were everywhere and I'm sure this place had bedbugs. Didn't feel comfortable sleeping on top of the bedding with sheets from home. The lady up front...

This hotel is not for you if you are looking for great amenities. But if you want a very basic room from which to launch your fun activities this place has a great location at a price that cant be beat. Basically this retired polish couple from Chicago built a bunch of little one room houses in their back yard...

We checked the dells website to choose our places to stay and see on our family vacation. We found what looked like a nice quiet motel.
