Good value for our RV trip- great level sites with a view of the lake at Sandy Beach Campground. This was after Labor Day so there were no crowds. The park is close to historic Ft. Laramie where we spent the afternoon. There was a convenient grocery store to pick up supplies for dinner and our road trip. The bridge...

We stopped overnight at the Skyline Campground. It was fine for an overnight stop, but most of the sites were on a hill with no good flat spot for a tent and there was no shade. If I was looking for more than a place to sleep for a night, I'd check the other campgrounds in the park. Sunset up...

Wow - had no idea Guernsey State Park was so beautiful. Lots of private camp sites. Loved the canyons and reservoir. Fun to see the small museum and what the Conservation Core built. Awesome views. Quiet. Very helpful and kind state park employees. Very well kept and clean park. Love it!

It was a very quiet week night. The campsite was great- fire ring, picnic table. Our only issue was you had to cross a two lane road to get to the restroom and we had to watch carefully as we have 5 kids and a pop-up without a restroom.

We had a family get together for 6 people in one yurt and had PLENTY of room. Beautiful views with spartan amenities. It was a perfect getaway. It was not much more than camping, but we all had mattresses to sleep on in an effectively "Super strong tent". Nice to not have to bring all the tent equipment. There are...

The park worked very well as a base for visiting Ft Laramie, Register Cliff, and the Guernsey Ruts. The Sandy Cove campground is on the other side of a ridge from the train, but the noise was inconsequential and we slept with the windows open. We were lucky to have the campground to ourselves in late September. Just be prepared...

We visited on a weekday in late August and seemed to have the Park to ourselves. We were the only campers at the beautiful Fish Canyon Cove. The pitches were great, with parking, shade, fire pits and toilets nearby. It's also directly on the lake front. The water tap wasn't working when we visited, but we were able to drive...

Guernsey State Park campground. family of 5 with a 33' travel trailer. Pros: full hookups nicely spaced campground close to lake Cons: a lot of nats/flies low lake water level camper sights semi-leveled Yes the campground is close to the railroad tracks, but the trains are not buzzing through. the noise is not as bad as other reviewers make them...

This is a crowded campground with minimal facilities. Bathhouses with pit toilets, no lights, no running water. It seems to cater to the boating crowd, along with their RVs, trailers and assorted paraphernalia. I am a tent camper, and prefer a more natural, peaceful environment. The official State Park map doesn't mention it, but the BNSF runs right through the...

A beautifully maintained park near Guernsey, Wy. This park has several types of campsites, from rocky cliffs overlooking the lake to sites near the beach. It's a boaters paradise, has several hiking trails, and offers a beautiful cliff drive along the reservoir. Many of the prime sites require reservations which can be made online (sites near the beach and the...
