I stayed at the hotel for a business trip. When you first pull up to the place there is very limited parking that is extremely tight to get in and out of. The front steps are run down and very steep. If someone who had a hard time walking it would be very difficult to come in. The outside of...

Motel is a big converted house on the main street of downtown Newcastle. The town itself is sleepy so there's no noise from the street. But it's about a block from the train tracks so you'll hear that, although former the whistle was romantic not annoying. It certainly didn't bother my sleep. Don't expect a modern motel. It's an old,...

I booked a night at the Sundowner Inn after seeing the reviews on Trip Advisor and I was not disappointing. As soon as you walk in the door you feel like you're at home. You can stay ground level or on a second floor. The rooms are quite small, but you get value for the cheap rate. The bed I...

The Sundowner Inn is a hotel that is much like a bed and breakfast. Nice rooms, clean, continental breakfast with outstanding service. We were stranded at the airport located about 5 miles outside of Newcastle. The hotel owners picked us up at the airport in the middle of a snowstorm, provided great lodging, excellent continental breakfasts and let us use...

I called the Sundowner Inn wanting to find a place to park and plug in my work truck on a very cold winter nite. Stacey was waiting and came out to show me where to park and plug in. When I got in and checked in I mentioned driving to dinner and she was kind enough to offer to drive...

Small house turned into an Inn. Room was large with an extra chair. Had a down home feel with the quilt for a bedspread. Clean and comfortable. Wifi worked great. Had an interesting small square shower, towels softer than most hotels. Quick foods for breakfast. $70 for one bed 2 people.

It's an old house converted into a motel.Small sleepy town feel. The frontdesk staff had few words to share and it felt like she didn't care one way our three other that we were there. It felt like staying at an indifferent neighbor's house. The bed sagged in the middle and the trains in the night made it tough to...

We stayed here for two nights. This is an amazing little place, very quiet and warming in nature. The beds we slept on were amazing pillow top beds. Wireless Internet worked great. The breakfast was juice, toast, rolls, fruit, granola bars and coffee. Stacey was wonderful to work with and very accomadating. The couch by the pellet stove was a...

The room and the beds were good. Breakfast was OK. Staff could be a bit more friendly. The lobby is nicely appointed but the seating for breakfast is rather limited. I was torn between an average and very good rating, good but better than average is the proper rating for this place.

Thank Jakobri

“If you have plenty of luggage or usually require assistance loading it to your room you're best to ask for a ground floor room or ask for assistance in getting it up the stairs. It can be a bit of a walk up three flights of stairs to the upper floor.”
