We stayed here after our cruise last week when we flew back to Hilo. We upgraded our room to the water view. Lovely view with balcony. Room was decent size and clean and comfortable. They had 2 restaurants in the hotel, but don't buy the morning breakfast buffet if you don't eat much. Way overpriced for the little I ate....

We had a great room overlooking Coconut Island, a favourite picnic and play spot for the locals. From our lanai, we watched local kids jumping into the water, locals and tourists mingling on the bridge, and old-timers fishing in the lagoon right below us. Our room was clean and comfortable, with all the amenities we could want. The breakfast buffet...

Conveniently located with clean rooms. It is an older hotel but Hilo is not your resort destination. Great place for breakfast is Ken's pancake house. We would stay there again if ever visiting Hilo again.

We enjoyed our two days at this hotel. It was very comfortable and quiet, we had a nice balcony view of the water, and the restaurant was good. We stayed here to be close to the volcano - it was a bit of a drive, but not too bad. Would stay at this hotel again.

Rooms clean and comfortable, wonderful view of the bay. Staff friendly. Free WiFi. Easy walk to parks nearby. Mini fridge but no microwave in room. Be aware that if you're staying a Saturday night parking becomes a problem in the evening, as there is likely a wedding and a dining room crowd. The hotel did not block off any parking...

An old hotel, NOT renovated, but the rooms are quite spacious. Our room faced the ocean & had a tiny balcony. Lovely views. Staff are reasonably helpful but breakfast is a RIP OFF - Avoid if possible! Only 1 packet of coffee is provided in the room & the staff are very reluctant to provide additional coffee.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom are clean. Our room faced towards the street, but since we were on 7th floor, it is very quiet. The restaurant in the hotel is a bit on the high price side, but there are a lot more restaurants around you can go to. Breakfast buffet are expensive, we just...

Other reviews had negative things to say about this hotel. We didn't encounter any problems. From check in, to the room, parking, on site restuarant, everything went smoothly. We chose this hotel mainly for it's proximity to the airport (10 minutes) and Volcanos National Park (45 minutes) and were completely happy.

Called the hotel directly day before - said no rooms. Went through TripAdvisor and we were able to get a room. Surprised that it faced Coconut Island. Not sure what caused the noise above us - maybe a sliding door to a lanai (?) but it was very loud and annoying. Can't complain - room was clean and staff were...

This is an average hotel. There is really nothing spectaular about it, however after searching for hotels in the area I found this one to be the best bang for your buck. The staff is gracious and helpful. The rooms are a good size and bathrooms clean which is really important to me. We spent very little time in the...
