We enjoyed our two nights in a comfortable, clean room in a quiet neighborhood of Hilo. Very good breakfasts including pastries, eggs and some of the fruits that we were discovering for the first time in our lives. Geckos allowed on the table and even fed by other guests of the bed and breakfast were not appreciated by us. There...

An excellent place to stay for a few days to start and finish a stay on Big Island. The colonial style house is set in a quiet residential district of Hilo.It is within a 15-minute drive from Hilo airport and looks out over a beautiful garden. The owners, Lory and Stewart, go out of their way to make guests feel...

We stayed four nights here and it made a great base from which to explore the Hawaii Volcanoes N.P.,star-gazing on Mauna Kea, the Puna district, downtown Hilo, and the Waipio valley. The room and bed was very comfortable and opened right onto the patio, where our friendly host, Lori served us awesome breakfasts of fresh ripe Hawaiian fruit, much of it...

We stayed at the OHB&B for one night. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood and the place is well maintained. We had the Sun Room, which was nice, but small.( and has only a shower, which did not matter to us) The backyard is beautifully maintained with a huge lawn, nice flowers and trees. The hostess Lory was...

This was a charming bed and breakfast located in a residential neighborhood between Rainbow Falls and Boiling Pots. Go to Rainbow Falls in the morning! The river that connects the falls runs along the back of the property so you can walk to the edge and hear the water. The property is amazing with many tropical fruit trees! All three...

Our group booked all 3 rooms, each with its own exterior door. We arrived late in the evening and each room had a sign with the occupant's name. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated. The beds were comfortable and we slept comfortably for both nights. The back yard is beautiful with fruit trees and a stream across the back...

The Old Hawaiian B&B was a perfect home-away-from-home for this traveler for two weeks in March. It was comforting to come back every night to the peaceful and attractive Bamboo Room off the shared lanai. Perhaps even better was waking up the next morning knowing Lory’s home-baked treats were about to be served, along with a large, luscious salad of...

Our room stepped out onto a wide verandah (lanai) which overlooked a huge lush garden of fruit and palm trees with a massive waterfall at the far end! Fresh fruit from the garden and home cooked pastries for breakfast (ask for the cream cheese and cranberry fiĺled croissants with an orange glaze)!! Lots of great local information from the lovely...

We stayed in the Hawaiian room for 3 nights at the end of our holiday. The room was so comfortable and quiet in a lovely neighborhood, but convenient to Hilo and the volcanoes we had come to see. I can't say enough about the breakfasts and particularly Lorys baking! Would happily stay again.
