We stayed in the Kohala Cottage, which was quite luxurious. There is a small entry room, then 2 steps down is a very large room with a full kitchen and sleeping, sitting, and dining areas. Off that is a dressing room and a huge bathroom with 2 showers and a whirlpool. There are 2 lanais and, off the bathroom, a... More

Barbara and Charlie Campbell have put down firm roots at this delightful area. They stay in the main house and have several options/cottages to choose from. The Ohana Cottage is roomy for a family of four with a great backyard view of the hills and running creek. It has a full kitchen too, very airy. We stayed at the Garden... More

The owners are wonderful, the rooms are a delight, there is nothing I would change about Waimea Gardens. Stay here! There isn't a lot to choose from in Waimea, and this is a hidden secret. I almost don't want to give it away.

Waimea Gardens is a lovely place to stay. We booked the Garden Studio, which is very private, beautifully decorated with wooden floors, a big comfy bed and a small kitchen unit with a fridge, microwave, toaster and tea/coffee making facilities. A few steps lead to the bathroom area with plenty of storage room, a sink and a great rain-head shower.... More

This is not your typical bed and breakfast. Once we checked in, we did not see the proprietor again. Breakfast is provided in the refrigerator, and our room came with a microwave and coffee maker. Fresh eggs (from the property, I think), fresh papaya, bananas, juice, milk, English muffins and jam are supplied every day. The room is spacious and... More

Mahalo for your review on Trip Advisor. However, we could not recognize the comments as related to Waimea Gardens. We are not within walking distance to town and restaurants. Perhaps you stayed elsewhere. Aloha, Charlie and Barbara More

We were very impressed with everything at Waimea Gardens... only wish we could have stayed longer. The Garden Studio is decorated wonderfully - so comfortable and clean! It was much more spacious than we expected. We had our own private outdoor sitting area with table and chairs for coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night. Charlie... More

My husband and I stayed there for the first part of our Hawaii honeymoon. We stayed at the Ohana suite for 3 nights and was very impressed. As other reviews said, the suite was big and very clean. There is also a back yard with nice views of the mountain and streams. The suite has a full kitchen with all... More

Thank you so much for taking time to write an honest review. Barbara and Charlie are so pleased to announce that Happy Days are Here Again! Neighbors have sold their home and have taken their doggie day care business with them. Hallelujah! Serenity now reigns with quiet new neighbors. We sincerely hope you'll visit us again, perhaps for an anniversary... More

OK - so there's going to be a rainbow nearly every afternoon as you wind your way into Waimea; sometimes one in the morning, too. As you drive along you'll enjoy the cooler temperatures, scenic vistas, and comfortable, country feel as you approach Waimea. Where HI Rte. 250 takes off from HI Rte. 19, next to the Hawaii Preparatory Academy,... More

My husband and I recently enjoyed three nights in the Waimea Cottage. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Our visit was all and so much more than we had hoped for. Each cottage was different and had it's own character but the Waimea Cottage was perfect for us. It was charming and the most relaxing place we have... More
