This was our second time staying at Crater Rim. We stayed there in March 2016, and returned this February 2019. It felt like home, just as we left it! The well supplied kitchen with fresh fruit and breakfast supplies made this such an easy start to each day. We can’t say much

I stayed at the cabin in mid-January with my 9 year old son. The cabin was amazing and so much bigger that we had been expecting. We were met by Barry, one of the owner's who lives just next door. He was very friendly and gave us tons of tips of where to go and what to see.

Thank you so much for taking some of your valuable time to post this wonderful review! "Cozy" and "comfy" are some of our favorite words to describe the cabin. The chocolate covered macadamia nuts are just an extra thank you for choosing Crater Rim Cabin! We hope you will be able to return someday... and stay longer. :-)

The cabin was my favorite accommodation in our week in Hawaii. It's cozy yet spacious for a couple. There was a lot of attention to detail. I appreciated the selection of reading materials, especially the geology. Good stuff. And, of course, it's very close to the entrance to

Thanks so much for taking time time to post this positive review! We are so happy that you were comfortable and cozy in the cabin. You are right! Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is a changeable place, and the changes this past year have been totally amazing. NPS is working steadily on reopening more and more sections of the Park. Even now, fully exploring the presently open areas could easily take two full days... even three if you really want to see it all! We feel truly fortunate to have such an amazing place as part of our greater back yard! Thanks again, for the review, and we hope you will be able to come stay with us again very soon.

We just stayed at the Crater Rim Cabin on the evenings of Jan. 4 and 5. The website picture do not do it justice. It is a one-of-a-kind find. It is a self-contained cabin with full kitchen (well stocked with eggs, milk, cream, bread, honey, jam, fruit platter with apple

We loved our stay at Crater Rim Cabin! We fell in love the moment we drove up. A personalized welcome sign and beautiful flowers were out front greeting us. Barry did a wonderful job showing us around the cabin and making us feel right at home. The location was peaceful

Thank you for this wonderful review! We are now experiencing a pause in the activity of Kilauea Volcano. The National Park staff is looking at the possibility of partially re-opening the Park soon! Keeping our fingers crossed!
