We stayed for 2 nights to finish off our 2 week honeymoon on the Big Island. We wish we could have stayed longer! Treehouse #2 is amazing. You can tell Skye put his heart and soul into building this creation. We loved the bed looking up at the stars, and the balcony in the trees was amazing. You are located... More

We stayed two nights (wish it was more) September 7,8 and it was the highlight of our trip. This place is so unique and incredible. The artistic design is so thoughtful and creative. Two nights wasn't enough time take in all of the details. We spent most of our time in the treehouse, watching volcano DVDs, listening to cool CDs... More

My family of 4--my husband, myself and 2 teenage boys--were here for 2 nights this summer. What a great decision it was for us to pick this place--so much attention to detail and genuine craftsmanship. There was ample space for us, and the beds and futon were all very comfortable. And, you're literally just a few easy miles/minutes from the... More

Our family of 4 stayed in the treehouse for 3 days. It was exceptional! Our boys, ages 11 and 13, loved it. The adults started each day with coffee on the walkway and enjoyed the peacefulness. The many windows brought the outside in. The treehouse includes all he amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Skye provided good guidance and a... More

There are no words to describe the wonderful experience of staying in this treehouse so painstakingly crafted by Skye. I loved watching the stars from our bed, and just breathing the green air. So convenient to the incredible Volcano National Park. It was just my husband and I, but there's room for a kid or two. Thank you Skye for... More

I have waited far too long to write this review! The 61G flow finally made its way to the ocean today and all I can think about is how amazing it would be right now to be back in Volcano and at one of the treehouses! I stayed in Skye's main treehouse with a friend in May 2014 and was... More

This is truly an amazing place built with love and care. We stayed 2 nights and all wished that we could have stayed longer. I get this is not for everyone. If you do not enjoy nature, adventure, craftsmanship, quirkiness and solitude, there are a bunch of box, air-conditioned resorts that will suite you just fine. But if you would... More

Our stay at the treehouse was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived to a waving Skye (the artist who created the house) until the minute we left we felt like we were in paradise. I mention Skye above not as the person who built the house but as the artist who created it. Everywhere we looked and everything we... More

My family stayed in Skye's Treehouse #1 in Volcano for two nights after being in Kona for five nights. Skye met us at the treehouse and gave us a tour. He is so hospitable and made us feel right at home. We were all so impressed by Skye's creativity and how he built every convenience into the treehouse. Wherever we... More

I love to meet and greet my guests and enjoy all their ooo's and aaah's as they discover all the creative touches I so enjoyed building into the TreeHouse. The full kitchen and separate toilet and shower areas makes it a perfect multiple guests vacation rental, even families with older, privacy minded kids. The lanai ( deck) is at the... More

We stayed one night while visiting the east side of the island from our Kohala beach holiday. We are a family of four and our two young kids (5 and 7) were absolutely enchanted with this treehouse, especially the rainforest lanai/walkway and their "secret beds" (take a look at the website and the slideshow gallery there). The whole place is... More

“It's only 1 treehouse. It can get a bit humid like in any rainforest, so pack a fleece to be comfy. however, the fireplace is great and the thick blankets and doonas bring all the warmth you need.”

“Be sure to talk to Skye about which house to book, both are fantastic. If I were to choose, the first one he built (where he added the outdoor walkway) is best for couples and people who really want to feel surrounded by nature. The new house he built is good for families or larger groups as there more separated living spaces so people don't feel like they're on top of each other.”
