We stayed in the "Wolfie 1" single bedroom cottage which had a separate lounge room and bedroom. The furnishings and building look quite new and very clean. The cottage is in a tranquil rain forest area with parking directly outside the front door (Literally 3 steps to the cottage veranda. A quick 2 minute drive to the entrance of the...

Everything gets high marks except there was NO AC UNIT whatsoever. I called to at the very least get a fan but was offered nothing but the option to "open the windows". Also the bring drinking water. They provide you with some but the pump dispenser is a total joke. Takes 3-4 manual pumps to get an ounce of water.

The place was cute (a bit funky) and fairly clean and a good location for our travel around Volcanoes National Monument, but "extra" charges jacked the cost well beyond the quoted price and the house wasn't adequately supplied with basics, like toilet paper, kitchen tools and paper towels. My email expressing my concerns was ignored. The three-bedroom house was set...

Nice cabin. A bit hot but once the windows are open and it gets later it cools down. I would suggest some box fans for the guests to use. The water pump takes forever to get enough water in the tub for a bath and there was no enough hot water for my needs. The Sugar Cottage lacked a lanai...

We have a beautiful cabin in the forest. There is a bedroom, sitting room and bathroom. Everything is clean, modern and comfortable. I sat out on the veranda this morning with my coffee and listened to the birds. Two minutes away are a few small restaurants and stores. The visitor centre for the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is a five...

I stayed here as they were changing their name to Lava Pond Lodge from Bamboo Orchid . Although the name changed...nothing else did! The service and hospitality was awesome. Reggie made sure all my needs were met and even answered any questions I had about the Volcano National Park ! The room was very comfortable with a beautiful view. I...

Though the location is wonderful, close to quaint restaurants and art studios of Volcano village and entrance to the park, the accommodations were beyond disappointing. Dirty, run-down, unkept.... We had two bedroom unit for the four of us and the kids had to sleep on thin futon mattresses on the floor which has not seen a vacuum cleaner in a...

Cosy, homely little cabin in the forest, very private, surrounded by rainforest. Fully equipped kitchen with grocery store and restaurants nearby .Old style bed soft and spongy with extra blankets for the chilly evenings( it gets cold) . Heater, TV, internet and veranda. Short drive to Volcano National Park. My only con was the price, probably could have been a...

We stayed in Jade Suite 1. Beautiful location in between the fern trees and the ginger. The cabin was equipped with everything you would need. We loved the fresh fruit which was left out for us. A dehumidifier was running and the cabin was not musty at all. It would be a good idea to replace the refrigerator as it...

A lovely cottage in the woods with excellent facilities. A quiet away from it all location guarantees a peaceful nights sleep. The equipment provided were excellent and allowed us to self cater with ease. Shops and supplies within easy reach. Ideally situated for Volcano National Park away from busier tourist spots.
