We stayed 2 nights at Volcano Village Lodge in early March and loved it! It’s located 5 minutes from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park (HVNP) but feels like a secret hideaway in the middle of the rainforest. We stayed in the Mauna Loa, the largest of the 5 “lodges” on the property. We chose the Mauna Loa because of the privacy...

Wonderful relaxing zen setting close to Volcano National park. From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in one of the most amazing lodges we've ever been to. Quiet, serene, immaculate and relaxing--right in the middle of a rain forest. The bed and pillows were so comfortable, the room with its wood and glass made us feel like we...

Just returned from three weeks on the Big Island. We go every year to Kona but this year decided to spend three nights in Volcano. The pictures online don't do it justice. It is impossible to capture the sights and sounds and feeling of peace and tranquility. I knew Volcano National Park was a destination but now consider Volcano Village...

We stayed in the Hale Kilauea, and although this is the smallest 'room', it was the perfect size for us. It is a rain forest paradise! From the beginning to the end, it was a perfect visit. The grounds of the resort are perfect, a quiet oasis. Our room was spectacular! From the most comfortable 'hotel' bed I've ever slept...

Words couldn't describe how absolutely idyllic this place is. Serene, tranquil, peaceful - none of them do it justice. The hospitality could not have been better - Laura was so friendly and very helpful throughout our entire stay and made us feel right at home. The location could not have been more perfect - you're amidst trees, birds and that's...

We spent three nights in the Hale Kilauea lodge at Volcano Village Lodge. Although it is the smallest of the lodges, it is so open that it appears to be much larger. Two of the nights it poured down rain--remember it's in the middle of a rainforest--but even the sound of the rain was peaceful and comforting. It truly does...

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful and unique lodge. Our family stayed in Hale Kilauea and Halealkala. Both rooms were spacious enough and the simple decor of both rooms was focused on drawing attention to the beauty of the surrounding rain forest. There was a light breakfast in the mornings, which was enough to get you going for...

We stayed in the Mauna Loa room, and it was a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of life, not to mention a powerful-good staging ground for our explorations of the Big Island's eastern side. Room: Great. Zen tranquility. Can't say enough about how much we loved it. Food: You know, at first you look at the breakfast and...

I recommend this property to anyone who is looking for beautiful, quality lodging near the Volcano Park. It was unique, in that it gave you a feeling of being one with nature in the rain forest. A truly wonderful experience.
