Great place! The only weak point was the lack of soundproofing in the unit. Our upstairs neighbours were a very inconsiderate and noisy family. The bed was really comfortable, but the 3 year old upstairs woke me up every morning before my alarm.

Stayed here for an important birthday in December 2016. We had a condo right on the edge of the cliff. Beautiful views from every room, and wonderful to wake up looking out at the ocean. Pool was clean, location was quiet - highly recommend for couples.

If one is traveling via Timeshare, yes, there are Timeshare Suites at the Aill Kai Resort. There are two separate Management Companies for Timeshare at the Alii Kai Resort: one has incredibly beautiful upgraded suites the other does not. How you are assigned your Timeshare Suite depends on many factors. All other suites at the Alii Kai are Privately Owned and many are Vacation Rentals, each offering different views and interiors.

Normally you can contact the front office 1 week before your arrival they can often give you some info but they will not be able to tell you the exact room since there could be last minutes changes due to room issues. Most likely the most they would be able to tell you if you are upstairs or downstairs.

Are there hair dryers in the bathrooms? Coffee avail in room?
Aloha! The Alii Kai Resort offers two types of Accommodations for Guests. The Private Vacation Rentals are independently owned, unique and different in what they offer. I recommend reaching out to the specific host to see if they have what you need. The Timeshare Suites do have a Hair Dryers in each bathroom and You provide your own Coffee.

Just to add a little more information. When you arrive at the Lihue, Kauai, airport, in the baggage claim area there are stands with all kinds of magazines that advertise and outline all of the activities. You can't miss them. A few titles are 'This Week Kauai', 'Na Pali Coast Magazine', 'Whale Watch Kauai', 'Kauai Adventure and Romance', and my wife's favorite, 'Kauai Dining, Art, Shopping' - emphasis on the SHOPPING. You can view some of these online (just add the leading w's and the com ending to the items below - here are a few: visitor info Hawaii, kauai romance, napali riders. Enjoy your trip - Aloha!
