Review collected in partnership with RCI
This hotel was beautiful. The gym there was great, as well as the activities and the pool. The only complaint I had was that they kept cutting the lawn, blowing leaves and running other noisy machines early in the morning. As someone who enjoys sleeping in, I would have

The condo itself is fine.. The temps were cool while we were here so we were okay wo ac. My issues are: 1. garden crew works everyday... So constant noise. 2. bug treatment in our building where we had to vacate.... 3. Starting supplies "thin"... Had to request.. But staff

No poor bar. Heck, no bar. No on-site restaurant. No housekeeping. Out of TP? Make sure you stop by the front desk to request another roll before you are on your last sheet. No ocean view. You would never know you are in Hawaii. Quiet hours start at 8PM. What the... is

Response from Sean C, General Manager at Wyndham Bali Hai Villas
Responded 1 week ago
Aloha Philly856- Many thanks for your detailed and comprehensive review of your recent visit to our Bali Hai Villas resort on Kauai. I am sorry that your visit did not meet your expectations, and it does appear that you may not have been provided enough detail of what constitutes our resort, as we are primarily a vacation ownership/timeshare resort, thus operate a bit differently than many standard hotels and resorts. While we do rent our units to hotel and resort-classified guests, we also attempt to communicate to all through the many booking platforms that our resort's services and amenities may be somewhat more limited than what is typical within a hotel or resort setting. While I cannot determine what unit you occupied while staying with us, I assume from your feedback that it may have been one of our resort's older units; I am pleased to inform you that these units are scheduled to be refurbished later this year, such that they will reflect a marked improvement at year-end to what you may have experienced. I do apologize that our cleaning staff and our activities team were less-than-professional during your stay at the resort. Your feedback has provided us a number of teaching moments to impart to our teams at the resort and it is much appreciated. Should you wish to reach out to me personally to discuss further, I may be reached by email at sean.cannard@wyn.com. I would also be interested in knowing how you may have reserved your stay at Bali Hai Villas, as I would like to investigate and correct this reservations platform where applicable to ensure that others are not potentially misguided in their attempts to secure a vacation experience on Kauai's cool and often rainy north shore! Many thanks, Sean Cannard General Manager Wyndham Bali Hai Villas

We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed our stay. This is a big, spread out complex. We were quite far from the pools and hot tubs. The rooms are not air conditioned, but have innovative ventilation that kept the rooms comfortable. There are no views to speak of.

Did you have ac?
None of the units have AC. We went late June/early July. It was hot, but the ceiling fans did a nice job keeping the condo cool.

We stayed on the lower floor and it was lovely, BUT it was time for the entire place to remodeled. There were cigarette burns on the kitchen counter top as well as paint or ink stains on the carpeting. I would probably NO return to this facility for another reason. The north end of the island is not as warm or sunny as the south end. The towel swapping was great because each day we called and left our soiled towels outside our door on a bench and within a short period of time they were replaced. The satellite pools and landscaping were beautiful. many local very good restaurants at the north end as well as many less tourists so thing were never crowded.

The flood danage in April was mostly managed by tne start od May, with most venues reopened in Hanalei that you might wish to visit. The volcano eruptions are on the big island of Hawaii which is about as far as you can get from Kauaii and still be in the country. I would recommend visiting Anini Beach. There are turtles in these waters and if you are swimming a bit offshore you are likely to see some. I would also recommend the Princeville shopping precinct. Be sure to get your discount card for the supermarket when you book into your accommodation. There are great meal options at the supermarket that become a bargain with that card! I would also recommend the Tubing Tour with the Kauii Backcountry Adventures. It is a fun thing to do that the kids would love. I learned a good amount of local history on the tour too but if you are not interested in that you don't need to listen. Have a great trip!
