Let's be honest, lodging is a bit limited in Hana compared to other areas on Maui. These are nice clean condos with a decent view of the water. All or most of them have nice patios as well. There are very little hotel amenities here, but it is a good place to stay. If you are planning on cooking your...

We stayed here again in #1 for four days. As before, the condo was spotless and the staff were very helpful. They've added a nice touch to check-in from our last visit - a fruit infused water dispenser. Nice to have a refreshing drink after the long drive. I had forgotten that they provide maid service every day. A nice...

If you like quiet off the beaten path places, don't just do the drive to Hana. Stay there. For as long as you can. We "accidentally" discovered Hana Kai four years ago. The wide open views of the black sand beach of Hana Bay are mesmerizing. Our favourite rooms are the upper level top floor rooms. Rooms 204 & 205...

Everything about this place was relaxing and elegant. The room was spacious, open, and airy and came equipped with a full kitchenette, and the patio was expansive with a nice view of the ocean. I slept on the pullout bed, and it was the nicest I'd ever felt--like sleeping on a Hana cloud! Wonderful!

Top floor front row 2-bedroom condo. Very clean and well maintained. Was great to have daily housekeeping service. Wonderful ocean breezes kept the condo comfortable. Terrific views of the rising sun.

This unit is Kaʻahumanu (#5) and is our only 2 Bedroom / 2 Bath unit. Great oceanfront location, corner unit with expanded windows, large fully equipped kitchen, 2 oceanfront lanais and beautiful furnishings. Comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests! Susie

The setting of these condos is beautiful and our unit had a great view of the ocean. They do not have air conditioning though and although the ocean breeze helps with that, we were still hot while sleeping. It also is very loud as everything is kind of open and there is no insulation. So just be fore warned that...

Our vacation to the Hawaiian Islands this year started with a trip on the Road to Hana, with us staying in Hana for the first time ever. Usually we've driven the road in a day and headed back to Lahaina where we've stayed. But this trip, due to last minute change in air flights (due to the airlines) we had...

We spent one night in Hana during Christmas week and really enjoyed this condo! We stayed in #203 which was in the upper building, just steps to the black sand beach. It was very clean, nicely decorated and comfortable for my family of four (one of the beds is a double and was small for two teenage boys, so we...

Glad our guest enjoyed Hana Kai and unit #203. I wanted to mention that we are located on a black sand/pebble beach - Waikaloa Beach. This is not the same "famous" black sand beach which is located at Waianapanapa State Park. Waikaloa Beach is usually quiet with very few people. It is sand and pebble. We don't normally recommend swimming...

We stayed here for one night after going on the Road to Hana. I highly recommend staying one night somewhere after that long windy drive. The staff was very helpful from the booking of the room to our checkout. We booked room# 203 because we were told it could accommodate our family of four. There were two beds - one...

It is evident that this guest captured the essence of Hana Kai; the simple pleasure of sitting on the deck, spending time with loved ones, enjoying the killer view, watching whales; the deep relaxation that we all need and rarely get in todays busy world. We do charge an additional fee for an overnight stay, to help offset cleaning and...

This place was very clean and had gorgeous views off balcony. I went beginning of December thinking that it would be cool enough to be able to sleep comfortably, but that wasn't the case. We were going to sleep in loft but slept on the first level of our 2 story place with all windows/ sliders open. After a long...

Temperatures in Hana are normally comfortable especially at night and for this reason none of the accommodations in Hana have air conditioning, including Travaasa Hana Maui. We have ceiling fans in all our bedrooms for the occasional times when our tradewinds slow. Sleeping to the sound of the ocean with the cooling tradewinds is what so many guest comment about,...
