We stayed with family while visiting Maui and decided to get a place to ourselves for our last night there. Maui Banyan is in a great location in Kihei- close to the beach and there are lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Our one bedroom...More
Really hard to write a good review .. We dealt with it but not pleasant.
Lots of cock roaches .. I believe they were falling out of the air conditioner .. Just creepy
We got the air conditioner replaced in short order because the first...More

Thank you for your visit and feedback. We are disappointed we did not meet your expectations. One of the benefits of having a resort in a tropical climate is also one of the challenges: the weather attracts both people and insects. Hotels as well as...More
We rented our condo through VRBO directly from owner. We had some issues with cleanliness in some spots of the condo when we arrived but the owner reassured us that was not normally the case and was very apologetic.
We found the condo had everything...More
This is our first time renting a condo instead of a hotel. Price was the contributing factor. Although our unit was not the best of condition (really needs an overhaul, refreshing etc) the complex is great. We would definitely stay here again but this time...More
Great free parking, across the road from the beach (Kamaole 2). Great view of the mountain and could see the water, too. The pool and hottub were right beside the barbecues and vending machines. Staff at the front desk helped us when we arrived late....More

The 19 two bedroom units that are part of the Maui Banyan Vacation Club (Soliel Management) are all uniformly decorated and maintained. Those units consist of a one bedroom fully equipped unit and a lock-off studio unit that has a mini frig and microwave. The washer/dryer are in the one bedroom portion. The bathrooms in the studio portion are a bit cramped and the bathroom in the one bedroom portion is superior. The patio on the studio is small -- only good for a cup of coffee or glass of wine. The patio that goes with the one bedroom is big enough for four to eat outside. The patio furniture is pretty basic. Soliel Management contracts with Aston to handle the checking in and checking out process and Aston maintains the exteriors and common areas, such as the pools and BBQs. The BBQs are by the pools and worked fine and were clean when we visited in February/March. The pools and spas were busy in the evenings and shut down at 10:00 p.m. They seemed well maintained. The hallway maintenance isn't as good as the landscaping -- lots of chipped paint, worn rugs, marks on walls, etc. The landscaping is kept in acceptable condition, nothing real fancy. The Maui Banyan Vacation Club units are quite adequate for most person's expectations, well-equipped functional kitchen with reasonably comfortable furniture although not high-end. The Maui Banyan Vacation Club units are scattered about the complex and some locations, such as I have stayed in -- middle of the complex several stories up, looking east with nice views stretching from Haleakala to the ocean -- are much preferable to the three or so units down by South Kihei Road. The units facing the pools and landscaped grounds are much more desirable than the units facing the garage and tennis court. I am told that Aston tries to assign the more desirable units to persons owning Maui Banyan Vacation Club timeshares and that the less desirable locations typically are assigned to persons who obtained a trade through one of the trading services. The Aston maintained units are all individually owned and their decoration and maintenance can vary significantly.
