I came to American Samoa to conduct a series of community education lectures on the current state of Birthright Citizenship. I selected the Sadie Thompson Inn as my home base due to this central location and previous reviews. Throughout my 6 day stay, the staff of the Sadie Thompson Inn was friendly, helpful and accommodating. Please do not mistake this... More

I definitely recommend staying at this place as you get well looked after! And the resturant down stairs does the best feed! Also the full bar is a great atmosphere! We were there on a fishing trip and and its in a great location!

we stayed in the suite with a nice outside shower. The room was large and clean and the staff was very friendly. Our suite included a second bedroom which we did not need and would have required the sleeper to crawl in and out as there was no head room and only a mattress on the floor. The breakfast was... Currently here on a business trip. This is my second time staying with Sadie's and it is an absolute joy. The only reason it misses a star is because we originally booked and was confirmed a room at Sadie's by the sea and then pushed us to Sadie's Thompson. However, the service at Sadie's Thompson had made up all the... More

This is a wonderful quaint little hotel in American Samoa. It has a colonial era decor with comfortable rooms and a great staff. I called to confirm some information and I was hesitant to stay here when I looked at the on line pictures. Barbara (the woman who talked to me when I called) convinced me to stay here. I... More

The nicest rooms in this hotel have a sitting area with a sofa, coffee table, armchair, and a table. Furniture is very nice. The bed was comfortable. Bathroom was huge and very well equipped. Room service was exceptional - the room always felt clean. We liked the restaurant and the bar. When the restaurant was closed, we could eat at... More

The people were great, the view was beautiful, the internet was cheap. Really you could care less about anything else. I love this place. This is really one of the most beautiful islands in the pacific. Even though I left, my heart will always remain.

If do not know who W. Somerset Maugham was and have never read his short story "Rain" look for a different place. Do not confuse this with the one of the other hotels Sadie's by the Sea (not the original building for Rain). He called it a dilapidated rooming house in 1916 and set the story of Sadie Thompson there... More
