The package deal with breakfasts, a dinner in town plus excursions was very nice. you definitely want to mountain bike the carriage trails, and hit a popular local spot for a few meals and drinks- the thirsty whale.

Thank you, short and to the point and very kind too! We are all glad you had a nice time and once again, I think it is our wonderful guests that bring out the best in us! It was a busy summer and yet you get out on the Carriage Trails and it doesn't seem so crowded. The woods can... More

We agree with all the positives already noted: Wonderful staff and service, spacious rooms with beautiful views, excellent breakfast spread, very convenient shuttle to/from town, and perfect location. Bar Harbor was quite crowded during our visit due to many cruise arrivals; however, The Bayview is situated just outside the center of town (still within walking distance), so it never felt... More

My wife & I stayed here for the second year in a row. It is by far, the number one place to stay. The staff is so friendly, they can't do enough for you. They make you feel like family. The rooms are big, & clean, with an incredible few of Frenchman's Bay. The complementary breakfast is full of homemade... More

Thank you and what a nice review to end the season! We do consider our guests family and when people come back over the years it is especially nice to welcome them home. You have been here twice now so the third time should be the charm! This year Bar Harbor was extremely busy and I think our van was... More

This hotel is close to town but far enough away to enjoy the quiet beauty of the ocean and facilities. Decor is a little dated but very well maintained and it is so charming that you do not really even notice. Fresh baked cookies, nice breakfast, and so friendly. Would definitely recommend and return.

Thank you for the great review! I appreciate the comment about being a bit dated but not really noticeable. There is so much talk about eco-friendly and recycling that I personally feel that the old adage "If it ain't broke don't fix it" should be followed more often. Yes, we have older, dated styles but they are kept in great... More

Thank you! I'm glad we were able to make your visit to Bar Harbor and Acadia a great one. I think we live in such a beautiful area but often take it for granted in the day to day. We recently decided to take a short vacation to Bar Harbor. Having never been there I went to TripAdvisor to find a place to stay. The Bayview had good reviews so I gave them a call. Lucky me! Stayed at The Bayview during a beautiful fall weekend. The hotel is ideally situated away from the congestion of Bar Harbor, but close enough to walk or take a short ride.
