There are cottages and a motel. We stayed in motel. I was a tiny bit disappointed because I thought it looked better in photos. It's not fancy, but has everything you need! With the kitchenette we were able to save money by preparing some of our own meals. The room had a woodstove, sofa, recliner, king bed, kitchenette and bathroom....

Chose this business due to a review on Trip Advisor that was right on target. I chose a cottage (#3) which is closest to the water. The view was excellent and the cottage delightfully rustic. I arrived just as a storm was arriving but this only added to the ambience. The location is close enough to Bar Harbor to commute...

Spent 4 days here after a long review of available lodging in the Bar Harbor area. The pictures of the resort do not do credit for the scenery that is available off your patio. Stayed in hotel unit with fireplace and really enjoyed the quiet location and view everyday. (Even with the NorEaster hitting for 2 of the days). The...

We stayed in the Seascape Suite Sept.27-Oct.4 and it was perfect! Please, do yourself a favor and look at Edgewater's website. The owners couldn't have been more helpful:from check in to helpful tips of where to buy fresh seafood. Our suite was 100% spotless, huge, comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped, bedding and towels were all very high quality....

We just happened upon the Edgewater driving toward Bar Harbor. We knew Bar Harbor was deadly expensive and all the cottages we'd seen online had been booked up, so when we looked at the two-bedroom cottage 20 feet from the water (at high tide), saw that it was clean and well-appointed, we signed up. The cottages are old, I imagine,...

My husband and I visited a few days ago for our honeymoon. We loved the beautiful view of the bay, the quiet atmosphere away from the bustle of Bar Harbor, the clean facilities, and the friendly hosts. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back some day.

Spent 4 days at the Edgewater over the recent holiday weekend. Our cabin faced the cove and we spent some great time just sitting in the adirondack chairs listening to the loons, watching kingfishers and in general soaking in the wonderful peace and serenity of the setting. Following the two bald eagles flying (and fussing with each other) over the...

The motel was great! The balcony is a bit open with no privacy barrier but the ambiance is incomparable. Very personalized rooms without the big hotel feel. The showers/bathroom plumbing from neighboring rooms is pretty much the only noise you'll hear. The cleaning staff is efficient. The setting is very intimate with an upscale feeling for a reasonable price. You...

We stayed in the Motel Room for 3 nights. We were extremely pleased with the Motel. The room looked like it had recently been updated. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. But the view from the balcony was worth the money. It was so peaceful sitting outside on the balcony viewing the ocean. The only noises were the...

We have stayed here 5 times now and are wrapping up a visit this week. We like this place a lot. Recently refurbished, quiet, friendly owners. Very near Bar Harbor (5 minutes) but not in the middle of the mayhem.
