This is a charming victorian style inn that exceeded expectations with its individualized and thoughtful service. The innskeepers Karen and Roger are a wealth of ideas and information. Breakfast is delicious, accomadations lovely, and the location cannot be beat. We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to be back in the future!

As someone who has reviewed on Trip Advisor for many years, I also read reviews when choosing sites. While many reviews did make mention of the host Roger in a negative way I was still impressed with their vision of a "Green",Environmental Inn. When I called to make my reservation I spoke to Pat, his wife, and she was charming with...

The five star ratings of Graycote Inn are very surprising. Having stayed ay many B&B's, I've never encountered an experience like this one. Upon checking in you are forced to go through a 45 minute orientation w the owner. While I understand the owner is most likely hoping to avoid questions in the future, it is not what you want...

We stayed in the Bass Harbor. The room was spacious and clean. The shower that had stained/moldy grout, but otherwise it was clean. The bed was comfortable but very squeaky, so we woke up several times during the night. The breakfast was fruit with either an egg dish or pancakes. The fruit was very good and ripe. The pancakes were...

The Graycote Inn was perfect for our stay in Bar Harbor -- the location was so great that we were able to walk to everything we needed in town. The owners are lovely and the breakfast was very good. Rooms are clean, spacious and cozy -- highly recommend "The Starr" room, which has a skylight in it!

Our family enjoyed the Graycote immensely! Pat was more than happy to accommodate our gluten free diet, providing delicious and filling breakfasts each morning. Our room was clean and quiet with a separate bed for our daughter. Pat and Roger were gracious hosts for the area, offering insider tips for enjoying MDI. The location is fantastic, walkable to everything in...

We enjoyed a four night stay at the Graycote Inn in Bar Harbor, Maine. The owners welcome guests with plenty of information about the area and lovely rooms decorated in period wallpaper and furnishings. Our hosts created a different .delicious breakfast every morning and even provided that first cup of coffee or tea available on each floor so guests could...

My husband and I have stayed in MANY B&B's in the 12 years we have been together, including all over NY State, and on 3 different trips to Mount Desert Island in Maine. That being said, we have encountered all different kinds of B&B's and inn keepers and I feel we have a lot of experience and can write a...

We stayed at this B&B because everything else was booked up. The good things are that is is very clean and close enough to walk to just about everything in town. Roger greeted us upon arrival. He is an odd fellow, but certainly nice enough. Very knowledgable about the area. Pat never introduced herself to us. While we were waiting...
