It is not a usual hotel. Although I am not a fan of dark places, I loved this hotel. The lobby is cozy with nice furniture. It also has the perfect location. The room was small but it is common in SF I guess. The service was excellent from the receptionist to the bell man. We dined once at the...

We couldn’t be happier to know you enjoyed your stay so completely at Clift. Our location is perfect for taking in all of the exciting attractions that San Francisco has to offer. Whether dining at our on-site restaurants or experiencing the excitement that is Redwood Room, we hope all of our guests are able to make the most of their...

Super comfy beds, accommodating staff (got upgraded), great deco in the lobby, hip, central. Found the room were tacky... Pick me up bar on ground floor- I didn't mind, but avoid if you like a quiet stay. Recommended if you get a good promo online.

Thank you so much for providing details of your business stay with us at Clift. We love to hear from our guests, both to know what they have enjoyed, as well as what areas might need our attention. It is wonderful that our Lobby is something that you valued the most of. Part of the charm of our historic hotel...

The hotel is in a good location and the staff are friendly enough, but the rooms are a little dingy. Granted they are larger than average, but still could use a deep cleaning. There has to be better places to stay for the money.

It is truly disappointing to learn that your encounter was far from what we expect for our guests. A stay at our historic hotel can be such a magical experience and many of our guests enjoy so much of what we have to offer, including impeccable service. We truly apologize if that was not the case while you were here...

My wife and I stayed at the Clift Hotel for three nights over the weekend on March 29, 2014. It was a mixed bag, but overall a good experience. We stayed in room 902. First, the good. Great bed. We had three really good night sleeps. The room was quiet and so was the corridor. We stayed in a Jr....

My husband had a conference in San Francisco and I tagged a long for a quick holiday, and Clift Hotel suited both of us during our week there. It was within easy walking distance to Union Square and the main shopping district so I was happy, and my husband as able to walk to the conference centre and meet business...

We stayed here for a night, on a short stay-cation. We booked 2 rooms, one for our 2 kids. The rooms were small and the bathrooms were tiny. Not a surprise, pretty standard for the city. What did surprise me was the state of the room. Very tired, worn furniture in the room, the bench and chairs...they were finished in...

We value your comments and truly appreciate knowing you enjoyed the beauty of our hotel upon entering our property. Please accept our apologies, however, if your guest room was not all you hoped it would be. Every room in our historic hotel is completely different from the next and our associates are happy to help in any way they can....

We stayed here for one night after a big clubbing night out so we wouldn't have to drive back to the peninsula. So, our expectations were basic …to our surprise, the Clift (where we had always wanted to stay BTW…) still managed to underwhelm. The property itself is very trendy and the reception/bar area are very tastefully done, but the...

Seriously, this is 2014, charging $15 for using internet in the room while paying over $300/night isn't very guest centric. Also a $40 breakfast. These are my only critiques. Room is large with a comfortable huge bed, little soft, great for my liking. Bar downstairs is a city attraction, everyone queues outside while guests can just walk in. Location can't...
