The Willows Bed and Breakfast is a wonderful experience. It is close to all public transportation . The entire staff is warm and welcoming, always eager to provide useful information for an authentic San Francisco experience. The room was large and immaculate. The breakfast was healthy with its many choices. The sitting room provided nice opportunity to meet other guests.

I was recently in San Francisco with a friend and we searched for a modest place to stay on the business/play trip to the City. We found the Willows on line and booked two rooms (none have private baths but there are plenty and super well cared for. Showers and toilet rooms are separate and rooms have skinks). It was...

We spent 10 happy days at this warm & welcoming b&b in the heart of San Francisco. The Willows is centrally located a few blocks outside the Castro and steps from the Muni and buses to Golden Gate Park, Embarcadero, Fisherman' Wharf, Cliff House and all parts of S.F. The Inn is on 2 floors, has a large comfortable sitting...

I need three things that make my traveling comfortable, a nice clean soft bed, a hot streaming shower and service that makes me want to stay for another dozen nights. The Willows ticked all the boxes. All of the staff are friendly and helpful and made coming home from a day of sightseeing a pleasure. The Willows has a convenient...

Staying in The Castro

Neighbourhood Profile
The Castro
A flourishing commercial area that acts as San Francisco's LGBT community center and cultural heart, the Castro is a neighbourhood welcome to everyone. As one of the first predominantly LGBT neighbourhoods in the United States and currently its largest, it remains one of the epicenters of activism in the nation. Grand theatres and glitzy shops now compete with bars and fashionable eateries for attention, drawing visitors from around the world to the bright rainbow flag acting as its beacon.
