This hotel has lovely rooms, is very clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Most SF sights are easily accessible from the location. The continental breakfast is small but serviceable. For the money, it can't be beat.
We found the inn to have very personel service and we really enjoyed our stay. We would strongly recommend this inn for someone on a budget who wants a comfortable clean place to stay located near the wharf. A pleasant surprise was the continental breakfast...More

TripAdvisor is proud to partner with Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, Orbitz, Priceline, Travelocity, TripOnline SA, Hotwire, Cheap Tickets, Cancelon and getaroom.com so you can book your Marina Inn reservations with confidence. We help millions of travellers each month to find the perfect hotel for both holiday and business trips, always with the best discounts and special offers.
Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to the Marina. Originally the location for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city.
With the picturesque bay setting as its backdrop, it’s no surprise that the area has hosted numerous movie productions. Daytime activities focus on café culture and boutique shopping, while the evenings turn this neighbourhood into a party-going hotspot.

They only have heating in the rooms. I don't think San Francisco gets hot enough to need air conditioning. I visited it in July 2012 (stayed at another hotel) and did not feel the need for air conditioning at all.
