Recently stayed for two nights on the 14th floor. First time in San Francisco, and loved the location. Cable car stop is across the street, and the room overlooked union square. Small as others have suggested, but lots of character- and immaculately clean.

Lovely boutique hotel in a great location. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the bed was so comfortable. We had a lovely room, lots of sun coming through the windows. We really enjoyed out 4 night stay and would go back there again.
Recently stayed for 5 nights on the 15 floor overlooking Union Square. Enjoyed our time here, room was comfortable albeit a little small, but we managed. It was clean, bed was comfy ( only a double) and serviced daily by diligent housekeeping.

I would definitely pack cardigans or jumpers even if it's sunny in the shade it can be very cool as it's very windy
