So easy to get in and out of you should really consider this hotel even though the price might seem a bit high. The restaurant and bar have fantastic food too! Av-Geeks will enjoy the location for plane spotting but no need to worry about the jet engine noise. The windows are super thick resulting in a very quiet room. Some added bonuses: sensor lighting on the floor for those of us that get up at night for a bathroom break. The fitness center is as nice as any high-end gym with cardio, HIIT, and weight equipment.

The hotel has some great decor and art work which gives it a special feeling, especially for an airport property. Our room had a view of the airport but was well sound proofed with no air traffic noise. There are no ice machines, but requested ice arrived quickly. We requested extra towels which took 3 phone calls and over an hour to be delivered, indicating the hotel still has some service problems to work out. The Grand Club is spacious and well furnished. It's colocated with the hotel restaurant, so club guests can help themselves to the breakfast buffet. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay at a location that can't be beat.

Our wedding party was looking for a decent sized suite to accommodate our bridal party of nine and four flower girls. A big group of girls getting ready is no easy task in a hotel room. We found the Executive Suite at the Grand Hyatt at SFO after calling several hotels within the South San Francisco area where we were going to have the wedding. In the beginning, we were a little hesitant because you are literally right next to the airport runway and didn't know how noisy it will be especially for the videos. We were very surprised how much effort the hotel put in on the windows and you can barely tell you're next to the airport except when you look out the window at the runway and planes. Hotel was very clean and the staff was wonderful especially Ruth from Reservations who helped me with booking the rooms. I spoke with several different hotels during the week and the customer service was nothing close to what I experienced with Hyatt. All the other hotels seemed like they wanted to get off the phone whereas Ruth was very responsive and helpful with any questions I had. In fact, the entire staff at Grand Hyatt at SFO was responsive and pleasant to deal with even when we needed the room cleaned and prepped for pictures. We called Housekeeping and they came shortly after. Well done and thank you to the Grand Hyatt SFO team.

The Grand Hyatt SFO is a great choice if you are flying in or out of SFO. The air train takes you from the terminal to your room. Also, you can easily take the air train from the hotel to the subway if you'd like to explore San Francisco without a car. Our room had a direct view of the runway. This Hyatt does everything right - from the comfy bed, large modern bathroom, slippers and bathrobes to the binoculars left by the bed for some very cool viewing of the runway and surrounding area. Due to Covid 19, the hotel's restaurants were closed. However, Hyatt offered room service and food from their market store. I was very impressed that the hotel priced all of the food options (including room service) at very reasonable prices. Way to go Hyatt! Thanks for a great stay.

We loved this hotel! So many things in the room were well thought out; the leg shaving bar in the shower, the rain shower head and movable wand, the makeup towel, the under bed and under vanity motion sensing lighting, the reading lights embedded in the headboard, the overlapping drapes to avoid light streaming into the room, the convenient, quick air train to the airport. Not to mention how beautiful, clean, and modern the entire hotel was. Everyone we dealt with was friendly & helpful. The price we paid for a Saturday night stay was very reasonable and much lower than nearby hotels. Even the valet parking charge was about half if other SF hotels. Zooming over to the airport in the air train straight from the hotel felt futuristic and so convenient and safe. I would definitely stay here again if I needed to take a flight out of SFO.

Easy to get to from airport with trains from SFO. The rooms are sound proof and come with views of the airport and planes. I would recommend to anyone pay the extra the kids will love it! They have binoculars in the room and water, house slippers and the finishing touches are worth the money.

This property is right on the Airport premises with direct Airtrain access from the Lobby to the Terminals. Every area of the Hotel looks upscale and ultra clean. At the moment the Hotel has only one full service restaurant. It is open only for Breakfast and Dinner, perhaps scaled back due the Pandemic. There is also a Market-Place self service deli at the Lobby level where you can get hot sandwiches, salad, Pizza, sodas etc. The paid self -parking lot size at this Hotel is quite small, but that may be OK since most of the guests are arriving directly from the Airport and using Uber/Lyft to get around town. In addition they have a separate valet parking lot as well. The Runway facing rooms are very well sound proofed and offer a sweeping view of the taxiways and runways. They even provide a pair of Binoculars for plane spotting. Great coffee in the room and water in eco friendly non-plastic bottles.

I'm very happy with this property. It may be the new hotel smell, or geeking out at seeing the planes out the window, or how crazily convenient it is to the airport, but they did a really good job with the hotel.

As mentioned, access is as easy as it gets through the AirTrain, which runs very frequently from the terminals. Once you get off, it’s down one flight and directly into the lobby/reception. The process was very quick each time. It’s a relatively small hotel also, so there’s not too much traffic going through.

The rooms are all clean and new, as is to be expected. I’ve had two rooms, a junior suite at the far end of the hotel, and a corner suite closer to the AirTrain terminal. The junior suite was already very spacious, with a huge bathroom and a bathtub with a view of the international terminal at SFO. Surprisingly enough, there is little to no noise from the planes/highway given the proximity to both. I could just hear the engines revving as the plane was pulling out of the gate, but other than that, nothing but the hum of the air conditioning. The only gripe I would have is that it’s hard to get the shades down in the bathroom, i.e. you have to step around the bathtub into a narrow space, and you’re very visible if you just leave the shades up. Something like automatic blinds might be better. And not a complaint, but on the corner suites from floors 6 to 9 (rooms ending in x02), you can definitely put on a show for the passengers on the AirTrain if you’re so inclined.

For F&B outlets, the bar was nice enough, with a full selection of decent spirits, wines by the glass, and food, although it felt a bit down market/casual for a Grand Hyatt. The service was friendly, although when we ordered food, it came from downstairs and the staff seemed to have to walk down to get it instead of using a dumbwaiter from the back of the bar. The restaurant itself had an Asian theme, although we did not try it for dinner. Breakfast was a fairly generic spread (similar to a Hyatt Regency), and a better menu selection. The Grand Club had nice runway views too, and a decent selection for hors d’oeuvres (salads, charcuterie, chicken wings and fried rice as the main, and desserts). The hotel does seem a little understaffed, and I’m unsure if that’s a seasonal (given the holidays) or tight market issue.

Overall though, this is now on my favorites list, for when I’m travelling out of SFO and (big caveat) not parking my car. Otherwise I might stick with the Hyatt Regency, which has largely similar offerings at a lower enough price to offset the advantages of the GH (convenience from airport, newness).

I go to meetings at hotels around the San Francisco airport regularly, this was by far my best experience ever. Of course, the hotel is new so is it is clean and in great condition. But it is *so* nice just to hop on Airtran and get off at the hotel, rather than having to take a shuttle. And as I had to head to SF after the meeting there it was super convenient for getting on BART. The staff were outstanding, pleasant and helpful. I loved not wasting soap/shampoo because, as in Europe, they have refillable dispensers, and the labels on the dispensers were in large font so I didn't have to get my glasses or squint to work out what was shampoo and what was conditioner. Small thing, I know, but it made my stay really enjoyable. Although it's right next to highway 101, and my room looked out on it, there was zero traffic noise (unlike some other hotels in the area). Great stay!

Most hotels won’t book you ahead but my rule is to just go to hotel with my reservation if there are rooms available they will get you in. You might have to hang out in the lobby for a bit but it is a very nice lobby.
